We have all had it happen all too often: you and your team finish picking characters, game loads vs screen, and the renown difference is staggering. Your team has about a dozen reps between the 4 of you on your selected characters and the enemy team has 3 players who have broken rep 12 on their characters, one of which who broke 30. So the next 20-30 minutes of your life are now spent eating %&$* from the enemy team with no hope of victory. This is why people quit this game, this is why people close the application, this is why no-one has fun in these situations. Turn the tables, your team is op and enemy is hopeless baby heroes. Did you learn anything or better yourself in any way or was it just a free xp farm? Exactly.

The reason for this is the matchmaking can't really account for all the variables involved with the characters being selected and how skilled each person is at them. It can't tell that based on its "skill" rating for each player which seems balanced is actually not because while one team plays some other characters or may be leveling the new ones, the other is playing all their mains. Some people find the character they love right away and dump every rep possible into them and play nothing else, while others play a bunch of different characters because they find just playing one boring. Then of course there's the people playing on alt accounts or a friend's account so they get ez wins...which has gotten more rampant lately, but that is another problem entirely.

I am not going to claim I know how to fix this, I don't. With the way the game is, there really doesn't seem to be a way to fix this issue that I can see. Perhaps something with measuring skill with a character by character basis but that might be overly complex and come with its own issues. The matchmaking IS better than it was, but that honestly wasn't hard to top. Just my two cents here honestly, not anything really productive besides a rant.
