Even though it’s impractical to let Sudden Death be longer than a minute, maybe something could be done to end those races where you’re killing the other new kid but the clock runs out. My idea is a delay timer. It would work like this - if either side damages a new kid with a unit in the last 5 seconds putting that NK under 200 health, a two second delay timer starts, stopping the clock. This can only activate once each second, so there are ten seconds maximum added, and only if the game is in the balance. Note that theoretically you could lose yourself a game like this but who doesn’t love a good base race?

Spells are excluded in my idea for the reason of eliminating the “spite Lightning” at the end of a match, but maybe they shouldn’t be if they buy you two seconds for your Dougie to reach the NK. I also worry about last second freezes to preserve the draw but this is only meant to extend those games where the NK would literally have died in the next second or so.
