    Not another waaa waaa thread.

That's right folks, this is NOT a thread by a bestment dweller crying about the game. YAY.

    Instead, lets talk data.

I was hoping to try and find out about damage stats and modifying effects on weapons. There was a spreadsheet floating around on the internet that showed the damage range for weapons, it would say something like 5000 to 7000, but that was for weapons up to 450GS and obviously we have moved on from that.

I have found another spreadsheet which is apparently for 500GS but it only gives one figure, not a range. (Link)

One of the things I wanted to do was be able to look at a weapon on my character and see how close it is to the maximum base damage it can do. So for example, my SOCOM MK16 is listed as having a maximum of 5,239 damage. On my character, with normalised selected, it is showing 5.2k damage. When I look at the characters stats sheet it is showing weapon damage at 5239.

Ok so all those numbers match up. Then I looked at other weapons, and it would seem that every single weapon has the maximum possible role on it. Not likely.

Also, When I get on to the range however, normal (white numbers) are saying a little over 19K damage.

All my gear is level 1 so no stat, talent or gear set bonuses, I have no mods on the weapons, I am using demolitionist so as not to have the AR bonus.

Then I added some armour. Fenris, so 10% AR bonus and it had 6% weapon bonus as well. Total 16%. My calculations being that 5239 + 16% = 6077, and thats what the game says I have. Great.

    So, two questions.
    1. Why is the damage on the range so much more than what the damage on the basic, no bonuses, weapon?
    2. Surely I dont have maximum rolls on all my weapons, so why is the game showing that?

In normalized areas, Dark Zone (not the Occupied one though), and conflict, gear is normalized, to even the play field between players. Weapons and armor stat are maxed at the same value for everyone, regardless of the initial gs.

You can toggle the normalized stats on and off in the menu, hold left click on consoles, don't know on pc.

With normalised off my weapon damages jumps to 14.1k

So what other modifiers are being applied?

Nothing else. Normalized stats only apply in normalized zones: Conflict, and the Dark Zone (not the Occupied one though).

There must be something else as base damage is not 14k.

I'm not sure to understand what your question is?

Do you see 14k in the menu, or shooting in the range?
Also, you can go into the stat section of the menu, and check your all weapon damage% and the damage increase of said weapon category.

OK I see where the problem is now.
The spreadsheet I have access to is for PVP only, no PVE values available..

Which is annoying I as I wanted to find out what the min-max range of the weapons were.

    https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...u5tgz/pubhtml#

nice "little" spreadsheet i found and works great
also if you shoot red targets with ar you need to calculate the ar specific +29% health dmg ontop of your ar dmg and weapon dmg
also the targets on the range are not in cover so lmg +15% dmg to targets out of cover applies as well
while were at it you can select the targetdummy to be regular, veteran, elite or named and get according dmg, so +15% from hardhitting if your dummy is elite/named
and any hit on the red dots in the center of the cest and head will give you headshot dmg
last is that the closest dummy on the dps firerange is 6m away from you so only smg/shotgun will crit those, the next one is 11m so all can crit, and the furthest enemy on the ranged firerange is 46m so ARs wont crit anymore

Thanks Joonnnyy, thats the one I had before that only went up to 450. Great to see it revised up to 500, and now the numbers tally with what im seeing.
