I've started asking myself this same question.
When the game was new I was literally losing sleep because I was having so much fun playing. I slowed down when we were all waiting for WT5/Tidal Basin. Then when it hit I played a bunch and got my GS500 set at a good place. Like all of us there are some things I'd like to swap to get that last bit of effectiveness, but the perfect pieces are so illusive.
Now here I am logging in and doing daily stuff, maybe a few Bounties, and not even really caring if that "last perfect piece" drops. All I keep reading is how Massive plans to nerf some of my best talents.
I will for sure stick around to participate in the raid. But if all I have to look forward to is a raid that may or may not be as fun as a regular 4 person mission run, I don't know if this game will keep me around for a lot longer,
IMHO......High-End gear started dropping MUCH too soon and WAAAAAYY too often. Yellow rarity, in most other games is very rare and usually only drops with any regularity in group content.
Personally I think a new level 30 should be in all blue gear. At world tiers 1-3 purples start dropping, then in WT4 & 5 maybe sprinkle a few yellows here and there. Heroic missions and raids should have guaranteed yellow drops. This way nothing is walled behind certain content, but the hardest content is more rewarding.
But this is all pointless, as this game is what it is at this point and from what I can tell, the devs are focused now on making the game less fun.
LOL, the game IS STILL new. It's been out, what, 6 weeks? And you had to SLOW DOWN??? BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.Originally Posted by Boon-Dock_Saint Go to original post
Many of you need to get a real life. Games like this, and many others are not made to blow through to max in 4-6 weeks. There is NO WAY developers can keep that pace.
People like me, with jobs, families, real life things to do, i.e. responsibilities, can't zerg a game and guess what? We still have fun playing! I got the game on launch day and am now at level 13 because I only get to play maybe 3-4 hours A WEEK.
It's funny how all I read is how "casual" players are ruining gaming. It's actually the self proclaimed "hardcore" guys (which you're not) that whine incessantly at the content provided and jump ship because they get bored with a game in 6 weeks. THAT'S who are ruining the game.
Get a life. Go outside. Have fun with your friends on a baseball field. Put the damn controller down and read a book or something. Jeez.
I'd love to but since my L4-L5 disc herniated and partially severed my spine, my hobbies are pretty limited. I do get out and fish now and again. But thank you for not being a condescending ******bag.Originally Posted by OldGamer73 Go to original post
