2 weeks trying to get one single gear part and nothing!...

i´ve done lots of legendaries and had almost zero classified gear, mostly usual green and yellow weapon parts. street bosses rarely gives you anything other than the same yellow trash, and the only build i could get all 6 parts and reach 291 is the D3, which according to Bambihunter1971 it was nerfed to the ground, and really i cant stand anything other than pve, which became a tedious grind job.

if you wanna make a loot shooter game, you should do it in a way people will have maximum time to complete what they want, otherwise it will feel pointless since you´re grinding and putting all efforts on something you dont know if it will payback.

last night i helped a friend to complete dragon´s nest for the millionth time, and all the party were complaining for getting an average of 2 pieces for 10 legendary missions.

we´re just wasted to do the same missions so much that it´s not funny anymore. the game should have a way to order pieces like 1 a week, so in the worst scenario as possible you´d need 1,5 month to get 1 complete set, unlike now when i heard people telling me they´re waiting 3 months and no drop for them.
    .
    .
until ubisoft realizes they need to do global events and be MUUUUCH MORE GENEROUS on drops, im done with division 1 to play games that I actually feel that progress is depending on me, and not on a stupid vicious random number generator.

D3 was nerfed for PvP. It is awesome for PvE (my favorite)

Are you going after the bosses, or just running around the streets? If just running around, look up LZ boss map.

Remember you only get an Exotic Cache once per week per qualifying mission per character. If in doubt, look at a mission in the map view, and look at rewards. It will tell you if you have gotten it since the last reset.

If you are on PC, add me and we'll go run a loop or two. I guarantee we'll get some classy or exotics.

Exactly, and you are entitled and justified in that opinion.

The problem is, it isn't really a Looter Shooter, it's as Shoot Looter, meaning "Shoot, I got crap for loot AGAIN!?"

Don't listen to Bambihunter, he/she is the rare diehard whom has spent 3 yrs and over 2000 hrs with two accounts and is STILL looking to fill in some gear pieces. Clearly that one has nothing but spare time to waste. At most you see maybe 2, 3 people here praise the RPG features. The rest of us know crap when we see it.

You may recall a game named Dead Island, developed by Techland. It was hit and miss and had a ton of bugs. A lot like this game regarding bugs and crap loot. Techland finally got smart and got out from under Deep Silver and made a MUCH better game in Dying Light.

Ubi's problem is they aren't just developers, they're publishers too. This means they are so big and cavalier that they can literally do whatever they want, regardless what any fans or investors think. When you're smaller, more hinges on your design choices.

Techland have now got it figured out, whereas some Ubi games are a work in progress. In some cases, very slow progress (if any) at that. In fact many claim TD2 was actually a big step backward in most ways from TD1. Personally I can't imagine an RPG actually being designed worse than TD1.

It's not whining, it's the same truth many others here are talking. And it was more of a nit pick on Ubi's poor game design and lack of support than a nit pick against Bambihunter. I know Bambihunter is just trying to help, but implying to us that there are easier ways than we are trying to find gear, while Bambi has (but seldom) admitted he/she has spent 3 yrs and over 2000 hrs playing it, yet still is struggling to find some gear set pieces, kinda speaks volumes don't you think?

How about this, if you like the game so much, maybe play it instead of calling us whiners for merely pointing out the sad truth about the game, because this is a forum where people discuss the game and are allowed their opinions. Acting otherwise is trolling, not helping. Truth be told I have FAR more respect for Bambihunter than people whom add zero to the conversation and just troll. Sound familiar, maybe look in the mirror.

With 4200 + hours in the game with 4 agents, I believe I understand the mechanics pretty well. Sad truth or not I still enjoy playing the game. So who's trolling?

I am glad you realize I was trying to help. However, like usual, you read my posts and glean what you THINK it says and cherry pick it to your narrative.

I have had everything complete on my main account for a good long time. I think maybe a year or more. Remember, when the game was released, WT4 was the highest tier. Classifieds came out much later too. So, a person min/max'd several times as game changes happened. So, by complete, I mean every exotic in the game. I mean all 4 characters have all 14 full classified gear sets. 3 of those 4 characters are all maxed to 291 on every gear set. So, for that account, I just log in for Div Tech so my OCD can rest after I get all 4 completely optimized. If you read what I had said, you'd know that I started the 2nd account in February some time BECAUSE I AM A DIE HARD AND I LOVE THE GAME and wanted to experience more of it. It had been a long time since I played the beginning and leveling up aspect. I also use this account as an example showing a timeline for when I started that account, and what I have looted from the game during that same period of time everyone says they aren't getting anything. I have tried (repeatedly) to give suggestions on the way I found to farm gear. Is it the only way? No, not even close, but it has worked very well as I have illustrated by completing most of the SHIELD's (all the RNG ones) already. I mean, if one wants to founder in the expanse of the game, get frustrated, and not play it. Then far be it from me to try to talk you out of hating it. Though I hadn't given up trying to help you get the most from the game, I think I just did. Which makes me wonder, if you hate it, why are you still posting here on TD1? I understand posting your feelings, nothing wrong with that. But, to keep coming back and disputing those trying to help you? I don't get... Good luck on your future games

The real sad truth to me is 4200+ hours leaves you little if any time to play other games or even HAVE any kind of other leisure time.

All a matter of perspective really. Again, I and others here are just stating our opinion on what we feel is bad (overly grindy and imprecise) game design. As I've said before, by imprecise I mean they add insult to injury by after having spent ALL that time grinding for full gear sets or great weapons, putting vague stat outcomes on crafting, optimizing, etc, and some random bonus.

Both Bambi and especially you have only further validated what we're saying by clarifying the multitude of hours it takes to get every aspect out of this game, and rather than accept those opinions, you A, try to force yours on us, or B, call us trolls for it. So yeah, you're the one trolling bub, nothing's changed there.

Another way to look at it is we don't have to be fanboys to offer useful opinions. Once in a while Ubi actually listens to what we DON'T like as well, yet you try to make it sound like it's pointless we are here unless we echo your praise. Then there's the fact that I DO now and then see even you fanboys complaining about some things, so it's like the pot calling the kettle black. Hypocrite much?

You also tend to only hear what you want to hear. I have gone on record saying the game can be fun. From about level 15 - 30 I was really getting into it, but the problem is, that fun soon turns to an annoying, stagnant grind once you reach gear rating 250 or so, then the loot drops are consistently worse than what you have, usually MUCH worse.

To add to that annoyance, the game itself offers nothing to advise you on how to get around that, and you're left to YT guides which usually show player levels and ratings WAY higher than someone having just reached level 30. Then Bambi tells me to bump up 2 levels to WT4, but down 2 levels to Normal, just another example of how confusing and idiotic the game design is.

So maybe see it from our point of view for once, instead of acting like we should all be thrilled spending every spare moment of our time on such an oddly designed game. Then there's the ridiculous amount of time just spent learning how to play this cluster f*%k of a game, which has anything but intuitive design.

Again, you love the game so much? Goody for you, if you really love it that much though, you'd be playing it instead of trolling on those whom are just stating the truth about it, and don't want to live in a fantasy land for 1000s of hrs where at every turn the game fights against player progress, while everything else in our real lives fades into obscurity. At most a game should be a momentary escape, not a one way crazy train to nowhere.

I am at work so can't play at the moment. Actually, that is the only time I post on the forums at all. I have some time here and there and I do like to help those that need help in this game. Most people asking, and receiving said help would not call that trolling. But yes, I will be playing in ~2:30 and will probably play 3-4 hours, but who's counting...

I am an 'all in' player. Meaning, when I am into a game, I rarely play any others. I have 3 new games I have yet to play. Heck yes I am a fan of this game. I have played over twice as many hours in The Division as the next closest game (Borderlands 2) which that one had 3x the hours of the next closest one to it. As far as life. I am partially disabled, yet still able to work (barely). I am nearly 50, married for over 28 years, and other than the health issues, I like my life. I have made the best of it and since I can't get out and go skydiving, play paintball, shoot hoops, etc like I did when I was younger before I got hurt. So, gaming is largely what I do for interactive entertainment. That sure beats the junk that is on TV.

I don't know how going to the next world tier is counter intuitive. Perhaps because it doesn't do it for you like 1-30 does. It even gives the options to reduce it back if it is too much.

In a way, I am sorry that I got annoyed with you. I mean, most people after a bit I just slowly fade away and quit trying to help. I guess I kept trying because I could tell you weren't getting what the game has to offer. That's OK. Some of my real life and online friends don't like some of the games I play and vice-versa. Find some you do like and be happy. Then, you can be on those forums championing those games just as I have been here. To be clear, I don't have any love for UBI as a company, their support has generally sucked. They have literally never fixed one single issue in all my tickets - not one! They have been onboard with some really fun games however. Assassins Creed, Ghost Recon Wildlands is a lot of fun too. I have a couple hundred hours in it as well.

Uh, maybe because in your stream of consciousness (endless prattling on), you only listen to yourself maybe? Then you have the gall to accuse ME of not listening.

Again, I was referring to two steps up in WT and two steps back in Mission difficulty being counter intuitive. The player is given literally no context in how significant WT and Mission difficulty are in determining drops.

If players have to go to the extent just to DL LZ Boss maps because the game has no map filter to show that in game, that as well as tons of other such idiotic things should be a clue how fuddled the game design is. Somehow though, it doesn't stop players like you from insisting it's the bee's knees the more you know how to play it, despite that knowledge being stupidly hard to obtain.

There are still purist gamers out there whom feel you don't really beat a game if you have to Google or YouTube how to play it. That kinda goes out the window with this game because it's designed way messier than it ever should have been, with hardly anything in game telling you the nuances of how to really "get the most out of it".

This isn't just a RPG shooter, it's Shoot looter, "I got crap loot again?" mess that is a fantasy dive down the rabbit hole puzzle game (the puzzle being knowing how to play the turd). It's just cobbled together crap that was even a work in progress figuring out a lot of gameplay details. Even most of the devs probably didn't fully understand how to play it the whole first year. Some may STILL not know, or care.

All they've done is addict a horde of games as a disservice type players on cheap, common tropes, tangled together with a web of RPG nuances that on the surface seem cool, but are in reality just senselessly stupid.
