It's not rocket science. Pretty simple to get why PVP players don't want to farm in the DZ.

I was a DZ PVP player in the first game, maybe 90% of my time was in the DZ, and even I understand their concerns.
And that's the point of slightly better gear drops. If it's harder to get loots in the DZ, why should it be the same crap you get in missions? Also, let's be honest, 15gs is nothing.
You could be using 300gs gear, it wouldn't change much in pve.

    Apparel Event Reward conditions
    Daily Missions

The only thing the DZ and PvP in general will have over the PvE content is 515 gear which will be available during the raids.

This is a single bone they are throwing to people willing to brave the DZ. It isn't much. Those who avoid the DZ and PvP content still have just about everything. You can still craft 515 gear through re-calibration.
It's a story-driven PvE game. Nothing is locked behind PvE. PvE is the core mechanic of the game.

They are not throwing a bone to anyone. They are baiting a trap for PvE players. They did exactly the same thing in Div1 and it backfired in a major way. Once this is implemented you'll be able to watch the number of players drop considerably. That's what happened last time.

Enjoy the packed DZ while you can, it won't last long

No, they said that they would not lock gear behind PvP activities. If they do this then they lied to all of us. Why are you defending liars?

Breathe, and again: RAID WILL HAVE THE BEST GEAR.

Again RAID WILL HAVE THE BEST GEAR.

One more time or you got it?

RAID WILL HAVE THE BEST GEAR, just in case, you never know, sometimes it's hard to understand.
Yes, we understand that Raids will have the best gear, but 60% of players enjoy solo gaming (according to Div1 figures).
That means most of their players are not being listened to and have been lied to in order to make them buy the game. Now they have our money they're going back on their word.

Maybe you think that's funny, but why are you defending the game developers when they lied to your face too?

I don't care if they lock stuff behind PvP as long as they tell us that's what they're doing. I would not have bought the game if they'd told me this up front.

In this case, it appears that they lied and you seem to be defending them. That's a strange attitude to take, what makes you think you can trust anything they say after this?

I'm with you, again, as a original pvp player, I am in favour of "higher risk, higher reward". I'm just saying it how it is based off the playerbase in this game. Like it or not, a lot of players will eventually stop playing and leave if they feel the devs are steering the best gear more towards the DZ, because those players simply will not step foot in the DZ. So regardless of higher risk, lower risk, whatever, the fact is if the game doesn't give equal distribution and allocation of loot in the LZ and DZ, it will cause a big mess. Again, this is all going off the first game. We've been there, we've seen what effects these kidns of decisions have.

So again, if the top loot isn't available in equal measure on both sides, dz and lz, there will be a sh*tstorm. It's not about whether that 15 gs makes a difference or not, most likely 90% of us will have better rolls and stats on <515 gear anyway, since we've been holding on to the best 450-500gs items we have for weeks now, but it's about the morals of the decisions the devs make. Make PVE players feel left out or forced in to the DZ and they will simply leave.

Spot on. My friends all quit Div 1 after they forced the DZ for gear. We bought the game for coop PVE, not dealing with toxic pre-teens who get enjoyment out of ruining other players' experiences. It will be the same thing all over again and probably the last time for us. You think they would have at least learned that lesson by now.

Are you reading the BS you're writing?

"I don't want to pvp, I don't want raids, I want ma gear!!!!"

I mean, how much more entitled can you be? Why are you even playing this game?

"OMG masif plix, i want gear every minute I stay in BOO becouz I only like White House exploration in the game, plix".

May I ask how you thought that a game literally featuring an extraction hijack as the main selling point in its trailer was a friendly coop pve game for ponies?

Besides, you know what they say? Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice...

Front page of r/thedivision there is a quote in the SOTG post about how it is NOT locked behind the dz, get off your "pve lives matter" nonsense and realize you are not being focked (yes focked because sensorship) out of gear.......

Cutting the rope on an extraction hijack has never been "the main selling point" of the game. The majority of the player base doesn't even play the DZ. Hence the empty DZ's. If I wanted PVP I'll go play battlefield or something. Just because people like you cry the loudest doesn't make you the majority.
