515 gear locked behind pvp | Forums

When I first heard this game was coming out I wasn’t interested, after playing the first Division and wasting a lot of time and money into a game that locked the best “loot” behind pvp.

Then when I found out that Division 2 wasn’t going to be like that, then I became interested. The game is tons of fun and very enjoyable. But after finding out that now that the devs are going back on what they said and are going to lock the highest gear in the game behind pvp. I am once again disappointed in this game.

This is a stupid decision. You are going to alienate so much of the player base. I have so many hours in this game already and my DZ lvl is 0 I haven’t even completed the missions to unlock the DZ. I am not interested in the DZ I enjoy the PVE part of the game it is more fun than the repetitive run here kill pve enemy’s only to get loot and then be killed by another player. The pvp aspect of this game is good for people who enjoy that. But don’t for one second think that their isn’t a vast majority of people who play this game who don’t play in the DZ.

Making the decision to lock 515 drops behind PVP is stupid. Please do not do this. Their are other ways to make it a challenge to get this gear. And not one of them has to be fighting for it in the DZ. is it so hard to just consider every type of player in a game that was clearly designed for all aspects? One that when it was being promoted was clearly stated you would not be forced to do pvp. An issue that was clearly evident in the first game. I get comparing Division 1 to 2 is like apples and oranges. But seriously?? Why would you make this decision? Do you not have enough people in the DZ to make it worth while already?

Do not force people to do something in a game they do not wish to do, when it was stated it wouldn’t be. That’s lying. But hey it is Ubisoft name on the title screen so I am not surprised to now see true colors coming out. This game was your chance to change some serious mistakes and bad decision made from the original. Learn from that don’t be stupid and make the same mistakes.

For people who are going to say you can recalibrate to 515 yes you can. But you can also as it seems get that gear to drop at 515 by playing pvp. It’s just not the same, it’s locking gear behind something when again was clearly something that was stated wouldn’t be done and now it is being done. That is a problem.

So basically what you are saying is I am supposed to miss out on aspects of a PVE focused game because I choose to not play PVP? Like so, so many of the other players in this game? Hmm great argument.

If you want the gear go into the DZ, if you don't want to go into the DZ you aren't getting the gear.

End of. Nothing to complain about. Stop being a spoilt brat.

The DZ is not a PvP only zone so content isn't being locked behind PvP content.

Actually, you are forced to play pve outside DZ to get a lot of the best gear, same thing as in the first Division. In the first Division they said the best gear would only be available in DZ, but that never happened. It would make sense to have the best gear in DZ, high risk- high reward type of thing, but that has never been the case.

Gearscore is relative. You can have 500' chestplate with higher statistics than a 515'. It all depends on the outputs (randomly) generated by the mechanics of the game. Furthermore realize that The Division 2 has pvp implemented, that's the game - one of it's features -, it's absolutly legit.
