A very simple solution to this DZ/LZ situation

If we have a 20% probability of 515 gear dropping from bosses in the DZ, then there should also be a 20% probability for it to drop from heroic missions and raids in the LZ too.Equal opportunities. I don't care if it only drops from the very hardest missions in LZ, just make it equal chances for both sides.

This is coming from a Division1 almost exclusive PVP player and I am talking from experience. Even if there is a 1% chance higher for these drops to occur in the DZ, expect months and months of whining and complaining from the PVE crowd.

Make it equal for both sides or we will have a repeat of D1 with non stop complaints about unfairness.

Posted my take on it in another thread, original post was a lot longer, but this is my take on it.

But making it impossible in PvE activities is bad design. Eventually in Division 1 they reversed this a bit, but it died under the premise that it was too little, too late. (This is the old mistake I hope isn't being repeated.) From the onset it should have been possible in both modes, just that if you were willing to brave DZ you had a better chance.
So... Yeah. Right there with you. 100%.

What needs to be addressed before anything is the lack of DZ popularity. If this game mode isn't supported by the customer base, then it should be altered to make it actually popular with the majority of players. As we already know trying to force players into the DZ just doesn't work.

Perhaps the best thing would be to remove Red Storm from the live game development loop and hire developers who will work for the whole game instead of an increasingly small group of Youtube fans.

As I've suggested elsewhere, if GS515 doesn't matter that much, then have it drop game wide in every tier 5 encounter. Likewise, if the DZ doesn't need tricks and lures to exist, why this announcement? If PvP isn't a viable part of the game, then it would be best to remove it and focus of the majority of the customer base.

    Yup, exactly.

The same can be said about the pvp side. If there is 1% chance that higher will drop in pve, the pvp crowd would be upset. "The best loot should be in the hardest place" type of stuff.

I know logic fails me sometime but it's pretty straight forward.

I'm done with this topic. I hope your idea gets tome traction but I know they will not deviate from the course they are on.

I hope this will not be another game like so many others of late where the Devs think PVP is great but nobody else does and then they start changing the game to push people to pvp who do not want to pvp and guess what? THEY LEAVE the GAME. WAKE UP DEVS! If 99 percent of your base does not pvp, guess what, you failed at the PVP part or marketing to the PVP player.

Forcing people to do things they do not never ever works. Learn from other games and their failures please.

Yeah pretty much my thoughts, beat everything so far and have max 509 gear score (till they nerf my recals) So i guess I will need to live with 500 GS being the best i can get, work on fine tuning it with what i can find in the LZ.

Long as Red Storm calls the shots, its pretty much PVP centric from now on.

I have a very simple solution for it.

I'm just going to ignore it.

As long as I am having fun and the devs keep fixing bugs and adding new content I'm happy playing the game the way they intended.

I don't follow the meta, I don't watch best build videos, and wow I'm still having fun.

Besides Borderlands 3 is right around the bend,,,
