I'm at level 2. I just tried space something to level up.
How am i at level 2 solo suppose to kill 4 elite boss's that won't die after 4 grenade launches and 3 clips of ammo into 1 of them. And all of them able to kill me with half a clip, how am i suppose to move on?
I play this game for fun, not to be a career 10 hrs a day to find something that will kill an enemy.
I play for a way to escape a bit of reality. This is just too much grind for me. Just like D1 was for the first couple yrs.
I'll check back in a yr and see if this becomes a game and not a life.
Too make this worse your specialty weapon will not pick up ammo until you completely run out? pc play.
Then it will only pick up 1 until you use it and then it will pick up another. Good grief.
Apparently i just don't get it. the only other game i had trouble with was ArmA 3
These Tier missions seem more like raids than just missions. 1-2 hrs for a mission? Too much.
Plus you get all the way to the end to find out your screwed? An hour or so later!
Control points and the like are no problem, but these missions just are over the top imo.
Having to collect two or three hundred weapons each tier too find a good one again, well seems too much too me.
I know there are those who have no trouble here, I just wonder how many hrs a day the put into this?
Well , i got that off my chest!
You won't get any sympathy here. The opinion of the "pros" is the game is waaaaay to easy and is for noobs. Their other advice is to group up but that's not a good option for the solo player who wants to feel they're actually accomplishing anything.
My Advice is to find a helpful pro who will advise you on build, talents and strategy. YouTube didn't help me but you could look there.
Do everything in order if your doing it solo, do the side missions for each area your level is designated for.Do the side missions as well as projects. For that elite guy in the space administration building, find a good place to setup your machine gun turret and use a high fire rate LMG or AR to take down the elite. Also load up on your +damage to elites with your gear, this will give you the needed push to take him down.
This would be great if it was just him, like i said there is 3 boss's and many purple. I'm under constant damage even when trying to escape. And when i do get one somewhat alone i can't kill him in time to get away. I use an ar at lvl 350 my whole level is 349 so i just don't know. Iv'e never had three at once before. The usual nade spam with drones spam and constant fire from every one else. I just don't know.Originally Posted by Solid_Stryker Go to original post
Distance is your friend as a solo player, retreat at least one block away from the enemy, take cover, watch your radar. Kill rushers first, the grenade guys, then their LMG, usually a purple guy. Work from range with a good rifle then an AR up close. Look at your gear from brand bonuses and go for damage getting your red number as high as you can. Forget about yellow (skill) and treat blue (armor) as an after thought to support high red. Do not let the enemy flank you. In missions I would retreat at least a couple of rooms then work my way back in....the assualt turret is your friend as well as the Chem heal.
Yup this. I did something like that too. Draw them back. Way back where only the reds are attacking. Kill those. Move up draw the boss back and only shoot one so he keeps following. Draw one boss at a time. They all attack at first but only the one your shooting will follow or turn and run back. Then you can pepper his back.Originally Posted by HeliBrewer Go to original post
Or just matchmaker and do it in 30 min.
I am a new player myself and what I have found, is that if I do all the side stuff around the territory and even go back to old territory to do the random stuff on the street, I can collect quite a no. of nice loot to equip myself better. Once I have done that, I can then tackle the mission or other stuff that I previously found difficult.
Take control point for example, I could never capture one when I first started, it was just too much for my agent and the firepower I had. So I went and did some other stuff and lo and behold! A nice M1A rifle dropped and I was able to use it to pick off hostile npcs at a distance and hose them down with the AR when they get close. The very first control point netted me a nice LMG!! Woot! Daddy likes! So with my newfound firepower, I proceed to capture more control points and those in turn netted me better equipment.
Once I've done those, I then proceed to do the missions. It was still difficult as a solo player but with better equipment, they become manageable. For me, playing solo, getting a good M60 LMG was the turning point, it made boss fights easier because you now have a large belt of ammo and don't have to reload often.
So try and collect some gear in the open world first from places like control points and upgrade your stuff, then move on the main missions. I usually do all the side missions first before doing the main ones. Remember that you can return to old control points already held and collect loot every 24 hrs. When leveling, sometimes luck just isn't with you, such as when you really want a Police M4 AR but got 16 backpacks instead. Yeah it happens, if that's the case, what I'll do is to simply craft one at the bench. It may not be the best but it sure beats the old rifle you were using at level 12 when you're level 18.![]()
