    And does it really matter?

Are we playing a looter-shooter, the type of game where the whole draw is shooting to get loot, always going for the top end of what's available?

Yes but everything is “normalized” outside of PvP so does it really matter?

If it didn't matter Ubisoft wouldn't be trying this lazy tactic to get PVE'ers into the boring toxic DZ

    Where did you hear that?

Regardless, 515 only matters to people who really want it. It's not a need. Reason being: you can do content now without it. Plus, they nerfed NPCs again.

from waht data i have i can conclude (read: its not 100% certain but if 515 behaves like 0-500 does its extremly close)
515 weapons will have ~5% more dmg vs gs500 weapons, so you nwill see 500-1000 extra dmg per shot depending on weapon, more if you have high weapondmg/headshots/dte
515 gear will have ~5% higher armor/halth/skillpower, but the same in all the % based stats like weapon dmg or cooldown reduction
(for whoerver cares, weapons seem to follow exponential groth of ~25% per 50 GS, and armor/health skillpower values seem to scale similar, but % based values like weapon dmg dont seem to scale at all)

so if you ask if +5% better gear is importend, it depends
for challenging missions i would not say no to better gear but i dont require it to actually do them
but it would be the small push i need to do cp4/heroic bountys solo with much less luck/retries needed(enemie spawns, location, etc.)
it will not make me the god of the LZ with nothing to fear but its the samll egde i need for the slightly to hard content
therefor for me it is importend if it will be available without the DZ russian roulette with 5 bullets

Do you need 500 gear now to be pve? No. Ok then it probably doesn't matter. Hey are adjusting armor and health too. So it .sy be even easier.

i think players are concerned that it may limit the drops above 515 in the LZ. Ssince GS determines what drops for you. So if this is the case then it does matter as this would slow down advancement unnecessarily. .
