I personally feel confident they are taking the game in a good direction from what i heard.
One thing i liked is that time to kill is made longer in PvP, that is good so we can fight more tactical.
I also think that it is good that npc is less rushing and less damaging so we have a little more time to think and play tactical and fun.
It was problematic when an npc had so much health that we couldnt kill them when they rushed us, but if they dont rush so much its not problematic they have more life.
Some nerfs are good because i see on twitch that some players just melts even named yellows with no fear, just run in their face and kill them in one mag, while i cant do that with my gear, i have fear of named elites. So maybe its better that the top npc arent killed so easily.
What positives did you guys get from the show?
Except nobody I've fought ever does this. Usually everyone's standing up and fighting each other, straight DPS. Maybe a shield involved. Maybe that will change with time.Originally Posted by EnabledFlyer Go to original post
But you asked about the positives. I know a lot of people on WT5 were complaining about the rushing thing, I suppose I was fortunate, as on WT5 I have not seen it yet. Probably never will now, but I know a lot of people have to be pleased with it. Think I dodged a bullet (or at least 8 angry NPCs rushing my position all at once) for once.
I know I'm in the minority for this, but they also mentioned a pushback for the raid. Good. Make sure it works first. If they can do it better by giving it more time, it may be worth the wait.
For me personally, the best parts of the changes is that we're coming down to be more "gear" and "stat" oriented rather than "talent".
The top talents where way too powerfull, to the scale that having a proper talent was more important than matching the Brand to Your playstyle.
It's still a longshot, but we're going the right direction.
Yes, i also see that a lot of pvp in dz comes down to standing without cover and shooting, maybe there is time to duck into cover now and use a quick skill then fight back.
I i remember trying to duck into cover a few times, but the other player just followed me at 5 steps distance around the cover while he kept shooting.
Maybe ttk being longer will make them think they cant just shoot while not having a care in the world for their own life, because if i can survive a mag of his smg, he might not survive my shooting back because i now have healing chem and an assault turret up, while he chose to empty his mag.
Yes they said they are making ttk in pvp a bit longer, probably not super long but still a bit. Also they were talking about trying to not have npcs coming into a pvp fight and killing players busy fighting. Good changes.Originally Posted by hyper---sniper Go to original post
