Same here satori1969 & Kean_1I’ve been getting the same graphic lack of detail on my PS4 pro. I’ve checked other games with high detail and sound even tv shows and no problem at all only with TD2 does this happen to. Ubi please sort out we all want what we have payed for and thought what was going to be delivered. Thank you Kean_1 for posting what we all on PS4 have been experiencing for sometime now.
No problem but there have been others who have been posting longer about this issue than me. I just thought they would have licked it sooner and then I found out they weren't even acknowledging that it was an issue yet. .....so I started adding to the videos, replies, etc. to try and help get this problem addressed.Originally Posted by DEF6164 Go to original post
Hello everyone,
Thank you for the video Kean_1, that was most helpful. As I mentioned we do have an ongoing investigation, I only requested a video to confirm that we were discussing the same issue and this is not something new.
I can confirm that we recognise this as an issue, it has been reported to our dev team and an investigation is ongoing. I'll add your video to the investigation to help express the severity.
Can everyone else please confirm if you're all PS4 Pro owners, or you use a regular / slim version?
Thank you very much!Originally Posted by satori1969 Go to original post
I don't have any visibility on the development side of things, so I'm unsure how this issue made an appearance.Originally Posted by satori1969 Go to original post
They knew all along it was a big topic in the private and public beta’s AND IT GOT MUCH WORSE SINCEOriginally Posted by satori1969 Go to original post
Thanks Raziel for acknowledging the issue.Originally Posted by Ubi-Raziel Go to original post
That thread I provided a link to also shows other members with a mix of Pros and standard edition PS4s. In my case, I'm on a first gen PS4 (the regular one that first launched).
If you need other more specific examples in a video, I can do that too if you wish. Anything to help.
I'd like to mention that "time in game" seems to have no relevance. However, spawning in to a control point, etc. does to an extent as it is worse for me at that point. Having said that, so does traveling on foot after a while which is the frustrating part. The best I can describe it is that the graphics are always trying to "catch up" to your movements. If you run down the street for a little ways and then look at objects and wait 10 seconds (often more), you can notice all the various textures loading.
Seems to me that the textures load in for the immediate area but if you run out of that immediate area (even walking at times) and stop, you will notice. Sometimes I just want to soak in the environment but have to wait to see what signs say, etc.
Thanks again for actually acknowledging the issue and letting us know they are aware. I can't imagine this is how they wanted the game to perform by design. I hope they sort it out soon.
Personally, I think TD2 is leaps and bounds better than TD1 especially with the reduction of TTK. I just really want to be able to experience this game at its fullest.
Thanks.
It's important to note that others have been buying SSDs and some have found that their rendering delays have been greatly improved or resolved. .....something I am definitely not willing to do just for a game (nor should anyone be expected to considering other games with equal or arguably better graphics work just fine across PS4 platforms). I used to build and game on PCs until I moved to console back when PS3 released just to get away from the constant upgrading.Originally Posted by flammey Go to original post
I understand your input is simply an FYI but a glaring fact is that you have a PS4 Pro with an aftermarket SSD.
