    whats wrong with the block on assassins!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    How many times do i get hit when I'm blocking in the correct direction on assassins?? not even going for parries and the attacks kill me through the stupid *** reflex guard ********.thats the only thing i can figure is the issue. i had the warden bleeding out so i just needed to block and of course his top heavy goes what seems to be right through my ****ing top guard and i die..followed by rage quit and promising to never play again..then i for some reason keep coming back..insanity?? this time i decided to post about it. can we just get rid of the ******** reflex guard? or fix it to actually work when I'm guarding!!??!!! maybe make it last a bit longer? Just when i thought i didn't have more **** to complain about.. man this game make me so ***1ng CRAZY!

    did happen to me yesterday playing shinobi i almost killed a valkyrie if the attack have been blocked but it got through my guard and it killed me :/

    Agreed. I experience this regularly on my Shaman and its BS. You can't even try dodging instead because dodging only works some of the time as well. And before people tell me its lag or my ping I have a 150mbs connection. Its not me. Its the game.

    Yeah, using assassins in 4v4 is quite terrible honestly. Not a very fun experience compared to the standard guard. Anybody who uses an assassin in 4v4s is just asking for death when approaching a gank.

    I've experienced some of that, but I still do very well with PK in 4v4 modes..might be connection idk. My ping is normally 15-35.

    why does reflex guard exist anyway? is there a specific reason why the assassins and some hybrids arent allowed to hold their guard?

    I have noticed this playing Shaolin rather frequently as of late.

    To add to a list of possibilities, I have noticed odd instances where I'll throw an attack and it registers a hit, the enemy has the animation of being hit, and suddenly snaps back into regular posture and the damage is refilled on their health. The same situation has happened on occasion with blocks, parries, or even death, where the hit/parry/block registers but suddenly reverts and they spring back to life.

    My latency is usually no higher than 30, and I typically run about 100 MBS connection. so I have a hard time believing it is my internet. Maybe there's more to that. Personally, I've got a feeling there may be some sort of bug involved.

    To my understanding there were recent changes to deflects and their timing, I am not sure about reflex guard. I play Nuxia, Berzerker, and Shaolin pretty frequently and have not had much of an issue with reflex guard in the past. Lately it seems as if I'm becoming more frustrated with myself for timing blocks or parries incorrectly, but I have almost always been spot on.

    Again, just speculation, but I wonder if the issues I have been having are somehow related to yours.

    I have seen all the things you guys are talking about, and it has something to do with the servers and latency. It has its moments and yeah can really P you off, but like all quick response games it is what it is. be glad you weren't here for the first year. it has gotten better, but when you run into it check the ping on everyone, see something high or jumping up best to find a new match after that one.

    Deflects are 35+ guaranteed damage for a dodge. Thats why the blocks are harder.

    EDIT: cant have cake and eat it. you want to be mobile, you need to give something up.

    Havent spent much time on forums lately cause life...

    Anyways i disagree. I really think assasins should have solid block, or at least maintanable block (i.e. push in the direction and hold maintains it, but guard is still down if stick is not moved.
    instead of where it is now where you have to be repeatedly twitching that direction to maintain block.)

    Also i disagree that removing a core mechanic is what assassins should give up. Ive actually long held a belief that assassins are kinda crapped on in this game. They have less health, a lot of the time less dmg, and also the reflex guard. And more and more heavy characters are getting faster and faster and more mobile moves. The speed of assassins is no longer special or specific to them so very much in my opinionsl do all assassins deserve a solid guard.
