We would all love for the game to have been launched with zeo bugs, but that's not what we have. Sure it's annoying to not be able to play for a few hours when that was your plan for the day, but it is great that massive are patching this game as fast as they're doing.
If the game being down for a few hours is a serious issue for you personally, you might want to look at what you're doing with your life. That's not healthy.
Would you rather it be like siege where bugs that come out on patch day don't get fixed for over a month?Originally Posted by RulleLoneWolf Go to original post
Tbh someone else hit the nail on the head, mix up the maintenance slots a bit so that it doesn't effect the same people / timezones all the time. I get they probably only have an 8 hour window, unless they have out of ours support, but at least move the maintenance around a bit during that window, sounds like a decent solution.
Nah, once the work is applied they have to test each server to see that it has been applied correctly. If not they my need to reboot a server or two and reapply. That's why it's 3 hours most times but sometimes goes to 3.5Originally Posted by wrecklass5590 Go to original post
Other times it's less and can be done in 2, just depends on the complexity of the drop

EVE online has a daily maintenance routine which is annoying but its at best an hour. I was wondering as well as these 3 hour downtimes every day are pretty annoying at the moment. If its due to heavy bugfixing I m okay with it as its only temporary but if its becoming the new "state of the run" I would ve liked a statement by the devs to prepare accordingly before I lose 3 hours of my available play sessions
Wow a lot of people missing the point here. People are not complaining about the fact that they are fixing the issues, but that they have to shut it all down to do it thats a big difference. Almost every other devs out there manages to patch their games without having to shut down the server every other day, so why can't the devs of The Division manage to do the same? That is the big question here.
You didn't play world of warcraft at release then. Sometimes that maintenance got extended so many times it lasted almost the entire day.Originally Posted by RulleLoneWolf Go to original post
