Love the title phrasing. Its pretty much true.

Try and lure people into the DZ, they will come in to be food for the wolves, before departing entirely again.

You have to make it a pleasant experience or people aren't going to stay, its pretty simple. Make solos get ganked by groups, or make it a pure pvp fest and there is a significant portion of people who aren't going to waste their time and you are right back where you started, just with less players playing the game.

This is literally Division 1 all over again. First few patches make the game worse, then suddenly they make the dz more and more unfriendly to anyone but full 4 man pvp groups and lock all the gear behind the raid. Then everyone leaves because the game sucks and they spend the rest of the life cycle trying to get people to come back. I thought we were beyond this.

Little did they know they met a pro pvp player and I wiped their 4 man team in 10 seconds flat, stole theiir gear, and managed to extract it before they had time to resurrect.

    SUUURREEEEEEE.
Just because you cannot do it, doesnt mean nobody else cant do it.

Bingo, you'd think they had learned their lesson with The Division. Why they have such a hard on desire to cater to a very small minority of the player base, I have no idea, the only thought I have on this is the majority of them are youtubers so I wonder if it's the fear of not having these guys push the game for them media wise that makes them think catering to them won't push those who couldn't give 2 ****s about pvp away.

We can be paid content (like DLC)

If its the small minority(PVP), then why the majority(PVE) doesnt reflect the like/dislike ratio on YT?
What if its the opposite and PVP is the majority?

Due to this the like/dislike ratio of watching someone play the game wouldn't be reflective of the amount of players in PvE and PvP. I play mostly PvE but if I were to watch someone play the game I would get bored quite quickly of watching some else play PvE.
Yeah....youtube TD2 related content is heavily biased/skewed toward PvP. Not a very good way to get accurate measure of things.

lets be brutally honest here. Most of these so called PVP players aint concerened with actual PVP. They wanna gank unsuspecting people and act like they have a pair of bollocks. its all a joke really.

you don't seem to use logic much...so i'll explain it as simply as I can.

    1. dz is empty right now...not many players doing pvp
    2. new loot will be placed in the dz
    3. the people that never wanted to play pvp will go in just to get the loot
    4. because most players are not pvp players they will not engage against others
    5. it will not affect anyone

think before you spew your crap kid

The first 2 items are facts. The third one is speculation. The last two are flat out wrong as evidenced by the original posters DZ experience. 2 man gank squad thought they could take out this single farmer.

And now adding the fact that more contaminated and less non contaminated loot is going to drop, will have the gank squads high tailing it to the extraction sites.

I so agree with the title of this forum post. Mission accomplished Redstorm. Now the griefers will have people to kill now. Same griefers that will be on to another game like they did in TD1

    However,

I’m sure that higher gear score items will always be better than their lower score counterparts. I’d rather have one good piece that obviously drops from the Raid than ten mediocre pieces I farmed or stole in a quarter of the time in the DZ. It is after all why we are here, to chase the best loot.
That is definitely not the case. In many instances, 500 gear score items have less armor than 495 gear score items and same applies to stats like crit chance, weapon damage etc (assuming we are looking at identical gear set pieces)

You can also re-calibrate for a higher gear score also. Several pieces I currently use are 510 after recalibration.
