First I would like to say I have been a day one player from D1. I have enjoyed the game mainly because of playing with friends online. At one point in time you lost me as a player because you were listening to the millennial crybabies and you tubers. It seems to me you only like listening to people who show up on youtube telling you how to fix the game. I know people with massive amounts of viewers seems to mean something. But why I talk about the millennial crybabies is that they are the generation that watches the Kardashians, and think that they should get a trophy for showing up and participating. That is what you did to the DZ in D1. I understand that you add things to the game but you have to be smart enough to figure out how to counteract it. Take Sentry Shotgun, build a TAC with smart cover and you could take 5 rounds, and then they would be dead from the rest of my team by then. TAC's with seekers, wow you had to dive out of the way. That was hard............... Oh yea a TAC was squishy so killing me or them was easy. Striker shotgun, 9k Stam Nomad with warlord and you win. You guys have counters in the game but no one ever thinks about them.
Take Div 2 as it started. Yes I agree with the never ending reload of the smg's. Beyond that I feel that you are screwing things up. Now we have people running the Vector high health. Yep that was was easy to get around as well. Hell I have 600k+ DPS and 260+ armor. Nope I am not putting my build out here but I will say you can face tank a vector and most likely win as long as you don't have the aim of a Star Wars storm trooper. No it's not a lmg either. Hell lately I have killed more people and have had more fun with the double barrel shotgun. But I digress. This idea you had of "normalizing" the DZ has pushed me to run exclusively the Occupied. Yea you want the crybaby PVE'ers to "Get their DZ experience" but you are essentially neutering people who put time and thought into a build. So please don't mess with that anymore. Let me have my build to do what I intend it to do!! If you still somehow think that they idea of normalization is so great, ponder this for a moment. WHY HAVE BUILDS AT ALL? Why not say you get one med kit, you sniper shoots at X damage, all assault rifles shoot at the same RPM and do the same damage, and so on? You get X amount of health, and you get X amount of armor. Heck, get ahold of someone from Zipper that worked on the SOCOM and just use them as how to get everything even. Zipper had the idea of "normalization" right back with the PS2. Leave the PVE'ers to go and run in the "Normalized", or as I call it, the "Millennial DZ" and let them play there. The DZ is not the friend zone, or the emote zone. You want the gear take the risk and go the occupied. If you don't want the risk run the same missions over and over and over and over until you get it.
Dropping the damage? WHY so much? Do you want D1 all over again where you can go through 3-4 mags of 70 rounds to drop a player? If people like that so much have them go play D1. Again see comment about SOCOM above. Better idea, mainly for the occupied, extend the "rouge agent" detection range so you know someone is near you sooner. Problem solved without creating the 3-4 mag gun fights again.
Hell, hip firing? Just make it like in D1 originally. Remember when you barely could hit the broad side of a barn? Crit changes are at best, a Band-Aid, when you have a LMG that will hit at 29k damage. Just come to the US, go to a range that will have the ability to rent one, yes there are some, and try it for yourself in person. You won't hit much at all.
Awesome, and why increase it to 10? Why not 6? The DZ is risk vs reward. More extractions mean that there will be more risk. But that is minor.
Yes the cooldown was nuts, it was hard to hit a DZ box without being attacked again by the landmark.
Heck I am all for a livelier DZ but not at the cost of normalization at all in the occupied. Do what you please to the "Millennial DZ" because I NEVER go there if I don't have to. Without the occupied DZ I probably would just BS with friends for 20 minutes, and then go play another game.
The DZ NPC's were fine. They were aggressive, and dished out damage. Risk vs reward here again. Besides the DZ is more about PVP isn't it? So essentially you are making it easier for players to get killed fighting a landmark by other players. I can tell you right now with that change I will be hunting at landmarks for players. I won't be going to clear them, just to kill other people who are stuck fighting the bullet sponge NPC's. The NPC's were just fine in my opinion. Yea they dealt damage, but you shouldn't run into a gunfight willy nilly not expecting consequences. The saying "Play stupid games, win stupid prizes" comes to mind.
EXP loss in the DZ... You mean some people really care about that? The perks aren't that great in the DZ and I have never cared about my rank going up or down in the DZ in this game or D1. But thanks I guess?
Nostalgia? Really? When anyone can shoot anyone in the DZ what does it really mean? Not a thing. Hell the best change in the DZ in this game is the Rogue system in the occupied. Meaning there isn't one. Farm all you want but always be ready to fight. You don't want to fight players, then play PVE. You did SO much better with the PVE content for this game compared to one. The Rogue system in D1 was screwed up for the entire game. The occupied finally had the DZ right. Please you cave to the Millennial crybaby youtubers with the Kardashian watching followers!!!
Conflict, haven't played yet, I enjoy hunting people in the occupied much more than any totally dedicated PVP where I am boxed in.
One caveat, I work a full time job, have 2 dogs, married, kid, and a house to take care of. I don't have a YouTube channel where I go and piss and moan about everything where I want things changed with Kardashian watching followers. I get on D2 to have fun and play with my friends I have played with for YEARS. Many from PS2. Yes there are some things that could be better in the game. Yea I don't have time to make a YouTube channel to whine about stuff. Heck I don't really even have the time to sit here and compose this as I would rather be playing and working on my next build. But my buddy sent me a message before I got on about the state of the game changes so I had to go and read them. I implore you not to be like Rockstar games and ruin a great game like they did by caving to the crybabies. If you can't do math, if you can't read, or don't want to read and do math to create your build, then you should get your *** kicked by other players. For anyone who says that it takes too long to get a build put together, I disagree. I get a few hours here and there to play and I have 3 builds together. Again I implore you not to listen to the YouTubers that whine. Heck put a survey on the game for the people who don't get on here, or have a YouTube channel. Ask the people who actually play the game and enjoy it the way it is. There is far more of us than there is the Kardashian followers. Please, please, don't do to Division what Rockstar did to RDR2.
Some changes are necessary.
At the moment, ttk is way too short. There's a middle ground between TD1 2mins ttk and TD2 2s.
If we ever want skill builds to be viable, you need to have time to use your skills. Right now, during the time it takes to deploy a skill, you've been killed 3 times.
People should really stop complaining before getting their hands on the update. A certain youtuber complained about one shot sniper being stupid and blablabla. Did it break pvp in any way? Not really, I barely saw one in the DZ, and in conflict you don't see them much as well.
So let's get the update, play the game, and then give constructive and proper feedbacks. Not potatoes whining.
Spray and pray is not the way. Learn to aim and conserve your ammunition.
If you need to change weapons 3 times in a fight you are doing it wrong.
If you need to change weapons to one you are not carrying and are getting shot whilst doing so, you are doing it wrong.
TTK is not to low, the issue with difficulty is lack of enemies, not that the enemies are easy to kill. We do not want bullet sponge enemies back.
LOL no the TTK is fine, if you run out of ammo take TG's advice and learn to aim.
I have 0 problems running my skills in the DZ. Don't understand what your problem is.
Stop complaining, I don't want them to **** up the game like they did D1 by listening the YouTuber's with the Kardashian followers who have the really good knee pads to spare their knees whenever on of the whining Millennial, I need a trophy types post a video. Hell my buddy still runs a one shot sniper in the DZ, and still one shots people. Again that was the Millennial crybabies wanting their trophy for just participating.
Get the update? Holy **** man, if you see things that are moronic before they do it why wouldn't you say something? DA...…………………….. Are you the type I can ask to go bridge jumping from 100' into 3' of water and will do it just so you "then give constructive criticism?"
The Dev's did this crap in D1, and are doing it again. Just look at the idea of the fix for hip firing. You ever tried to hip fire an automatic weapon? Have you fired one? They are hard enough to learn to control from the shoulder, you aren't hitting the broad side of a bard hip firing. But no, they want some BS get rid of crit and headshot crap, when all that needs to happen is your accuracy and stability goes to 0 when you hip fire.
You must not play much, or never played D1 to understand what I am getting at with my post.
TG- HELL NO with the bullet sponges. You got that right. Holy hell, you remember the one gold shotgunner in the underground that would wipe out an entire squad because even with a total skill reclaimer, and straight DPS builds you couldn't take him down? Yep we will get that again.
I think pistol drops are more rare than exotic drops to be honest. I have been looking for a Tactical 1911 since I hit level 30. Yep still don't have one.Originally Posted by brainstormy Go to original post
Why is it always "cry baby PvE'rs"? I tend to only reply to PvP'rs who are complaining about every change that seems to happen and in most cases creating those changes in the first place.
OMG, you had to create a build to play this game. You really think that all PvE'rs are walking around in their boxer shorts holding a plastic baton and using open air as cover?
If you want to create a constructive argument about changes in the DZ then keep it to PvP and leave the PvE community out of it. Most have already stated they couldn't care less what happens in the DZ, so we wont complain if you get all you wish for regarding PvP requirements so long as it leaves us alone.
It seems that no PvP player wants dedicated PvP equipment so you prefer to play your "ultra high specification uber and amazing builds using "cry baby PvE" gear". This means you effect us with your changes and that is unfair. You cry, cry and cry about the fact that someone can "kill" you in a "PVP environment and expect the whole game to be changed to match what you want. Just have your own damn PVP specific armor and stop ruining the game for everyone else.
I also have recently noticed more threads about hackers and cheaters using methods to kill people unfairly in the DZ. What do you think it's going to be like if PvE are forced to PvP. I would expect the number of cheaters to sky rocket rapidly as PvE players use all means necessary to obtain "PvE" armor locked away in a PvP zone.
Not sure where you saw me talk about ttk and ammo.Originally Posted by CrazyHunter1975 Go to original post
Do you see the irony in a post talking about crybabies while crying...like a baby?
