I too have this, takes forever to get even to the connection screen, and there it's waiting once again for a very long time. I actually once got to the main menu where I could click Continue, but then it just crashed on the connection screen.

Yup, certainly not alone. Folks talking about it over on Reddit as well.

Hey, the games are already purchased, and since they don't do refunds, this is the greatest and latest in gaming industry scams. Instead of taking all of your money with scummy loot boxes like EA, Ubisoft takes your money with unfinished/untested games and don't actually fix anything that prevents 50% of the player base from actually having a good experience with their products.

Exceedingly long loading after an "update"? Check.
Constant stuttering no matter how powerful your computer is? Check.
Broken missions and/or hubs that will reset and/or just not work correctly for MONTHS now? Check.
Infinite layers of RNG that make about 99.87% of your loot completely useless? Check.
A crafting system that is so underwhelming that almost brings you to tears every time? Check.

    GG, Ubisoft and Massive.

For reference, I tried a full re-install but the issues persist.

    It's the easycheat problem

I watched carefully, it's 100% the easycheat problem. To verify, start up task manager, launch the game. You will notice the game shows the 'start screen', then nothing happens. Check task manager, you can see easycheat laucher is running. For 1-2 minutes, nothing happens until the easycheat launcher finishes. Once it does, and the easycheat service is running, you will get the splash screen. But wait, it doesn't end there. The easycheat service is running at 0% (at least for me). The Tom Clancy Division 2 process is running at about 40%, but the memory load stops at about 40% and 2.7GB of RAM. Watch carefully, you will see the easycheat service spike once or twice. The first time, I noticed my login name appeared in the upper left (again, this took 3-4 minutes). Easycheat service goes back to 0%, and I wait ANOTHER minute or two for the loading to continue. Finally, when I click connect, it takes 30 seconds or so for the easycheat engine to spike, but I get in.
The problem IS the easycheat. Not the game itself, but the dependency on easycheat.

    Hello,

I found my loading times unusually long so I took a paper and wrote down the times.
They're always quite similar (but still too long IMO).
Times are in minutes:seconds, each step shows the quickest and slowest times I've encountered.

    0:00 launch game, splash appears
0:06 to 0:10 splash screen disappears, just my windows desktop is showing
1:06 to 1:11 screen turns to complete black
1:34 to 1:44 ads show up
1:47 to 1:54 ads finished (5-10% of the loading time right there, is there a way to get rid of them?)
2:36 to 2:42 my name tag shows up on the top right part of the screen
2:55 to 3:02 The loading percentage starts moving instead of displaying "connecting"
3:00 to 3:08 Loading (finally) completes, I can select my character.

    Some remarks:
I can use my times and do a countdown for each steps, it's pretty accurate (down to a couple of seconds).
It's always a full minute until the screen turns black.
It's always about 40 seconds after the ads that my name tag shows up.

Hmm, looks like I should have checked the forum before reinstalling to have a look at the new stuff. It's taking even longer to load this time around. Guess I'll wait for a fix again.

Can confirm, the EasyAntiCheat Launcher sits in the background using 20% CPU for a few minutes before the game actually starts. After the game launches though, it seems like EasyAntiCheat isn't doing much of anything resource wise. It's entirely the Division 2 executable using between 20 and 40% of my CPU while it sits at "connecting" for a few more minutes.

EAC is a headache but it's not the complete issue, you can actually kill it after the game loads. There's something in D.C that is causing snowdrop to crap it's self, the new content runs great and that's gotta say something about D.C and the size of the map handling requests with the servers and so on
