They makes the NPCs stronger and stronger, and they make us weaker and weaker. Apparently Massive didn't learned anything.

What shooter game you know that is not like that...
How difficult it is to head shot a non dumb player? How strong is that gun, how vulnerable is a persons head? One head shot sniper should require nothing more than a strong sniper, a good aim and a dumb opponent. One body shot yes, should require a min max sniper build and a dumb opponent lol

I hope they aren't changing anything related to how gear works in PvE! If they are, here we go again with PvP nerfing PvE gear.

To be fair, it’s the PTS. But yes, they are nerfing pretty much every DPS and defensive talent. Click on the twitter or reddit links in this thread. I’ll try to be an optimist, and say MAYBE they’re buffing 6pc sets to compensate.

Alright, reading the changes on Reddit, I get you now.
All that comes to mind is asking who brought the LSD to Massive, because whoever put these changes together was in some major bad trip.

The players have been complaining about NPCs being too bullet spongy and causing too much damage with the ****ed up scaling, and we get changes that feel like whoever read those complains thought it was the NPCs complaining about players. It's the skill mods all over again: "oh the skill power requirement is too high? okay, we will reduce it... and make the mods themselves be so weaker that you might as well just have stuck to using greens and blues!"

While I agree that the devs make some absurdly stupid changes (light 5.56 mags reduced to 10) to appease... I really do not know who (PvPers?), constructive criticism would be appreciated.
What did they change in the PTS?
The complaint about weapons mods in general was the negative stas, especially since they had no effect on assault rifles and SMGs but hurt snipers and LMGs. Massive came up with the big nerf on all mods, that was their brain storm it was NOT suggested by anyone on the forums!

Unfortunately, I can't read twitter. It seemed to me they tweaked NPCs on the 15th, they feel quite nice now. Not sure why they required any further tweaking, and they really shouldn't have tweaked players in reference to NPCs. Armor already wasn't worth a dang.

With how many people? In which difficulty?
Doing a RIsle Hard - not even on Challenging - on the 15th with a group of four still felt the same: people died in one burst, NPCs still stomped around T800-style, they still soaked up bullets.

Need to try the PTS, and not sure I read everything in the Reddit thread, but did the player DPS/talent nerf come together with a nerf on NPC damage and armor? Or is that something that's still in the works?

Also curious about devs reaction, I understand that PTS is a work-in-progress, but if you only implement a rather massive nerf and make that public with no further comment then the current reaction is to be expected, no?

    Correct, sort-of.

NPC health and armour, more specifically.
