Plus situational awareness has nothing to do with getting one shotted. This Nkoan39 dude apparently does not see that 90% of the community are complaining about these issues and are quitting the game because of them. I guess he expects everyone to use a shield in game. This game needs to be fixed or give me a refund for giving up a unbalanced broken game.

Done Roosevelt Island solo on Challenging. Have 265k armor. Which is considerably less than a million. Never died, never even got my armor fully depleted. "How?!" You might ask. By using cover and watching out for snipers. The armor in this game is fine. You just have to wrap you head around a concept of cover.

I will second this... and I have 150-165k armor in a marksmen build. Patience. Good aim. Cover. Quick thinking. Good to go... my only complaint on Roosevelt is using my stupid pistol for 500000 minutes to kill the tanks so I don't waste primary ammo. Yes... that was an extreme exaggeration before anyone flips their lid.

I use cover. Then an elite charges through the fire of 4 people at jackrabbit speed, flanks someone and they are dead right there, even if they had full armor. Doesn't matter if the mob then dies as there are plenty more where he came from.

This isn't tactical. It is just what I refer to as stupid hard. You can't make the AI smart so you just make the mobs OP.

Is it out of control? Not totally. It is irritating/frustrating and feels unfair. It cuts the fun factor.

At hard and below it isn't a big deal. Haven't played much challenge so no opinion there.

It does feel like the balance is tilted a bit too far in the AIs favor though, especially when you combine the sponginess with the random on top of or behind you spawns and the sheer volume of grenade and drone spam... and how FAST the damn mobs seem to be able to move, especially the sniper bots.

Well, you can rejoice. If Massive's reddit posts are any indicator, your collective whining has won the day. They will be nerfing damage of mobs and boosting armor. Back to good old days of The Division 1, where moderately decently geared player could solo facetank 4-man challenging Incursions without ever using cover. Fuuuuun!!

Why aren’t you using the mini guns? There’s one right in front of every tank...

It’s even clearer in the video when he shows the TTL side by side that the armour in going down at pretty much the same speed, the fact that he has well over double the health on the second build is what’s keeping him up a bit longer. Also, as he says, he has to chase the mob a little with the second set because they stopped firing and backed up a bit.

I have 250k+ armor, and an AR build with Unstoppable force. I am able to take on Challenging missions solo without any problems and without dying. Without even losing all my armor actually.
Yeah that means nothing. I have 150k armor and do the same. This has nothing to do with tactics. It has everything to do with DPS output.

No there really isn't any meaningful difference.

My 250k armor and 110k health build dies only a fraction of a second slower than my 150k armor 59k health build. It is highly sitiational that that fraction of a second actually makes a noticeable difference. But again....that entirely depends not on armor but o how you construct your DPS.

This does NOT warrant the heavy investment it requires to make if you are not heavily speccing into the armor to DPS loop talents.
