Armour/health suddenly becomes pointless no matter how much of it you have.
This is where situational awareness comes into play. If you allowed yourself to get cornered by enemies its your fault, not armor's. You have radar that indicates direction from which enemies are going to spawn. Use it to your advantage and relocate to a better position if you see they about to spawn behind or "on top of you".
What you want is essentially a cheat mode where you can get spammed by grenades\rc cars\drones and not die. The point of the game is to avoid putting yourself into position where you can get spammed by grenades\rc cars\drones.=)

I have builds with less armor. There IS a difference.

Armor matter on those types of NPCs. But there are NPCs that take down your armor almost instantly (few shots), and then the amount of armor does not matter.
Even with your low armor, 3 second is very acceptable. It is the deaths, or armor depletion in a fraction of a second that is the issue people complain about.

He probably means snipers and sniper-turrets\robots. You know... those incredibly slow shooting guys that have a clearly visible "tell" when they are about to shoot you and are incredibly easy to avoid getting shot by if you pay a little attention =)

This is what riot shield is there for.
But aside from that, it seems like you're not enjoying the game, maybe you should play something else? =)
I guess in that case we have a different view on AI. The only ones that really press are the elites when they enter terminator mode and enemies also only flank you one at a time, running up to some cover standing there to get shot (on all difficulties up to heroic). While I agree with you on the shield, like many people say, skills are useless at the moment. Aslo armor is there to protect you when you shoot out of cover, as you always have to expose yourself heavily in this games, when you sit in cover and start shooting.

Also you are quite right, I don't enjoy the game at the moment just because the immense lack of real challenge bores me. But I liked the way up to the highest tier and some of the item hunt, that's why I care.

I also made a thread about, why I think the AI is stupid and why I think the game lacks challenge. (https://forums.ubi.com/showthread.ph...how-to-improve). Maybe you want to give it a look and maybe also share some thoughts. I think as long as you discuss things and bring in different opinions and ideas things can improve.

On topic of the video I must say, it proves not much. You see only two enemy types, most of them are normal enemies and when he has high armor the enemy shoots them less often, so the TTK is meaningless. If you want to research something and present valid data there is much more testing and gathering of data required for a statement with some weight. DIfferent enemy types, testing with eacht tier of enemy (normal, veteran, elite) etc.

When they've spawned directly on top of me, that's not my fault and that's NOT being cornered. When my radar suddenly spawns a red circle, they're already on top of me, there's no way to prepare for this and no way to escape this situation.

This is honestly why I quit playing yesterday. I literally just turned off my PS4 and tossed my controller to the side. Done. Trying to clear the entire map of just BOUNTIES and getting melted. You pop out of cover and literally get a sliver of health or die in under a second. It happens so fast you don't even know how or what. I have a video of it on my PS4. There's not even time to pop a heal skill or use an armor kit.

Remember when they told us you could play the entire game SOLO? I believed it. I now see I shouldn't have.

I have 250k+ armor, and an AR build with Unstoppable force. I am able to take on Challenging missions solo without any problems and without dying. Without even losing all my armor actually.
Use cover, the game rewards you for it. Lol

i'm also are considering quitting the game now, if they don't fix the armor.
it dont matter if you have 5 million dps or 100 million dps when you can be killed with 2-4 shots from the enemy

Has anyone played Roosevelt Island on Challenge? What a Joke! You can have 1 million armor and health and you will get 1/2 shotted instantly. Armor does not matter in this game. I want a refund.
