Would you pay $35+ for a re-mastered version of Trials Evolution with all the DLC?

In a nutshell ... Ive had enough of this game.

Out of all the versions that I have played (Second Ed (PC) - HD (Xbox/PC) - Evolution (Xbox/PC) - Fusion (Xbox/PC) - Rising (PC), apart from the Second Ed all other version of Trials have got approx 600+ hrs each out of me .... Rising has hit 64hrs & I'm already getting tired of the game.

I can only see myself coming back just to see if I can complete the Ninja tracks, Ive lost interest in trying to get the Platinum as the game glitches all the time and causes xtra headaches whilst trying - The fun disappears

Normally when I get tired of speed running I hit MP - Along with the Ubisoft prehistoric servers that still dish out a strict NAT in 2019, I discovered yesterday that the new patch only allows you to play against your friends in a private party :/ For some reason you cannot invite a friend to a party & then enter to session against other random people too loads of other games do this as known standard in 2019 ... V sad

I'm also finding that Mp has been ruined by removing the aspect of the smallest amount of faults will generally net u then win and been replaced with this "5 secs added" when u fault. In older titles, when people used to make a mistake but not crash, u would see them trying to correct themselves before attempting another try - ie actually trying to control the bike if they make a mistake, this still however cost them a lot of time .. In Rising I'm finding that people just spam the retry button n the ghosts are flying all over the place (especially easy medium tracks) due to the checkpoint distance placements - they no longer try to control the bike n just opt restart from the CP. It doesn't feel like real time racing which knocks the fun outta multiplayer for me - It might be a little sadistic, but I used to really enjoy coming across a player who was having trouble on a hard obstacle (but not faulting) only to fly past then n show em how its done ... might be diff for others I understand.

When I get tired of MP I normally hit the editor however it doesn't work properly in rising - If u use the KB+M the UI overlay Is very confusing & If u use the pad, Ive found that i cannot move the camera thru the map when placing the initial checkpoints - I have to literally place a check point - move the camera & then place another checkpoint - Very tedious!

Its a shame as the game "looks" great, the photo realism is amazing, I love the atmosphere - Its bang on, the tracks are top notch as usual & I'm genuinely impressed with some of the optimization that has been done to get it to run on lower end systems .. but too much else has changed, the more u play this game the more and more bugs pop out, it doesn't work in a lot of aspects ... Its a step down.

I recently bought "Urban Trial Freestyle" for a laugh on steam as it was only 50p .. shock horror, the racing might be a bit pants but I actually enjoyed it - they kept it simple & it actually took over from my usual "Trials" time that evening.

Which leads me to the original question .. Some will say that this has happened already as you can buy Trials Evolution Gold, but it hasn't (I own It). Even tho you can still buy this game today (with the same sales description that say MP & TC is included) - the TC & Multiplayer does not work at all - also none of the DLC were included which I am gutted about as that had the BMX (The Helium) & some savage tracks too

Here`s Antti telling us about all the things that they were "working" on in Evo Gold that didn't happen in the end :/ It feels to me that Red Lynx have always got their heads invested in the next project too much and the support for their current titles is left to Ubisoft to clean up or make a load of bad excuses n not deliver.

So would I buy it for £35+ ....personally I would! - If they added the realism & atmosphere of this game into Evo & left everything else as it was I`d pay £35 just to re-live some good gaming! ... I`d actually pay more if they promised to support the game for more than 5 years.

-The tracks were mind blowing - It had GIGATRACK ... 7 mins of hell, but fun too trying to get the Platinum & Way Of The Ninja & Straitjacket (DLC) .. All of which spawned updated babies on later titles.
-Track Central worked (minus a few spammers) and had a simple & easy to understand layout to it
-The editor was a breeze to use and had hardly any faults. I suspect that most builders would just go about re-creating some of the great tracks that have come out in fusion & Rising as they have in the past, so I doubt people would lose out.
-It had Multiplayer that had a choice of difficulty (Idk about 8 player super-cross or speed running the easy/med tracks all the time) I enjoyed the Hardcore mode as It ALWAYS presented me with a challenge, it was fun & as well as frustrating)

I cant help feel that apart from the updated graphics in later titles .. Trials Evo had it all & all following Trials games were a massive step down in one way or another imo & id love to see it back with all the other re-mastered "Greats" that are/have been released atm.

I would do a poll but I cant figure it out (nothing happens when I select it?)

I'm curious to your thoughts on this

Won’t happen because Microsoft owns the rights to Evo. This thread can be closed now.

Some of rights must have gone to Ubisoft in order for them to make Evo Gold the .... Surely paying up to claim the rest of the rights for the DLC`s when the suspected profit would be high .... would be worth it

I don't know, I just recently bought Evo Gold on Steam for $7 after previously beating it on 360, which I still have but no longer turn on. The problem is Track Central doesn't work. Last I checked it only shows tracks uploaded in the last few weeks. I'm not sure, but I think there was 1 DLC for 360, called Origins of Pain, which is apparently not included in Evo Gold either.

Evo had 2 dlcs ... both as good as the other ... Origin of Pain & Riders Of Doom both which had standout tracks on them which were great to race MP & yes ure right neither of those came out on Evo Gold.

N yes McGuffy TC & MP are totally dead or broken on Evo so ure pretty much going back only to play the SP campaign ( bit like Rising eh ) which is good fun but not the complete game as described b4 u buy it ... a bit naughty imo, its only a 6yo game :/

Gcandy, I must have bought both DLC's for 360 but I can't easily confirm that (without turning on the 360 and dusting off the controller, finding batteries etc.) They don't show up at all on xbox.com and the MS transaction history page doesn't go back far enough.

Anyway, I enjoyed replaying the earlier games recently to do the Inferno tracks again, including doing Inferno I for the first time.

They should make it backwards compatible.

*IF* it included full cross-platform track central, with all existing PC and 360 tracks and at least acceptably modern search and management tools (none of this "change devices for another flat list of 1000 tracks baloney), then yes I would consider that great value and buy in.

Better if it included HD and its DLC also, and had an HD track central (that could easily hoover up people's existing track builds) instead of HD's horrifically wrongheaded track sharing system.

Hey, Scruffy, here is a link to an archive of some saved TC tracks for PC Evolution:
    https://drive.google.com/open?id=1x1...5vIxhI8MUo6Tyu
Put the contents in Documents\Ubisoft\Trials Evolution Gold Edition\SavedGames and they'll show up in-game as downloaded TC tracks.

Thanks Tyrian, that's awesome. Works great. I assume someone archived most or all of the 5-star rated tracks, by the looks of it.
