The game stuck in some weird stuttering state which makes the game quite unplayable.

Hi.
So I bought the game and tried it for the first time today. Have not gotten to play any of it yet due to the game being extremly stuttery making you almost sick when trying to play.
My specs:
Intel i9 9900k
gtx 1080 ti
RAM 16 GB 2666MHz
Windows 10.

I also have the latest drivers.

I don't know if there is a special forum I am suppose to write this in, so I'll just write it here.

Any help would be appreciated.

Just letting you know I'm having the same issue as well. You're not alone. Did you buy it through Ubisoft's platform or you playing through steam?

Open beta was great and I got over 150+ FPS Maxed out on DX12. I'm running the steam version and there is a huge discussion right now https://steamcommunity.com/app/91644...7599803775880/

I deactivated Anitaliasing and it helped at least to be able to play but the game still stutters like hell. In both technical tests i never had stuttering even on a fresh game or bigger city ...

Now I am officially pissed off.

Unlike the beta, the performance now is really horrible and the stuttering makes it unplayable.
What is wrong here? How can the release version be worse than the beta?

I am close to a Steam refund atm.

I havent got to play the official release yet, will do today. what is your frame rates during this stuttering? Can you better describe what is occuring? Is the framerate actually swinging wildely? Is it more like hard drive stutter? In the open beta, once my city was pretty large, I had dives to 30fps on my overclocked i7 7700k, rtx 2080. At sea moving ships around id be up over 100fps. So the framerate dives considerably in congested islands. I often noticed as well, while id be around 30fps in my city, my overall cpu and gpu usage would both be only around 50-60%.

I think one of the problems is that the game doesn't seem to utilize multicore cpu's well at all. I often noticed a single core on my cpu would be elevated a good bit higher than the rest of the cores during play, but my overall utilization would sit around 50%, and my RTX 2080 utilization would also sit at around 50%. The game simply isnt utilization the horespower of the system. If you zoom in on an area quickly as well I often noticed a several second delay on texture pop in. The game just isnt well optimized. The game engine feels like its really sluggish, and in desperate need of some optimization.

Expeditions

Sorry if it is not in this forum ... but I do not know where to write.
How can I improve the morale of my ships for expeditions? Morale is so low, that even putting objects or bienens, it does not improve enough. I just have morality in all types of boat 20%

Thanks

Was having similar problems, stutter and crashes after latest patch, went to NVIDIA GE FORCE Experience and now using their custom settings, game running between 70 - 120 fps depending on zoom and collective items on screen.

Game purchased directly for UbiSoft.
