Anyone else feel Recalibration is very underwhelming?

I wanted to increase the crit chance of my gear piece from 1.0 %. Selected a 12% crit item to use for recalibration. I netted a whole .5% increase in crit chance. Talent changes are they only recalibration that feels good. Since they are static and dont change. Stats on the other hand when moved are so low it sometimes doesnt feel worth it.

We should be able to recalibrate stat values overall.
+5% crit chance and +15k hp per kill. Ok, i want 7.5% crit chance and 10k Hp per kill. THAT IS RECALIBRATION.

Steal atributes and talents can stay in current form.

Underwhelming is the right word. In TD1 recalibration success felt like you actually made a big difference to your gear, and it ate up resources too, which was fine. But this new limited recal is kind of meh, like it makes a difference but it feel pretty minimalism.

I never played TD1 but Ive read it was similar to Diablo 3 in that you rerolled until you got what you were looking for. I dont know about implementing a system like that but I feel they should rework recalibration to feel more rewarding to the player. As it stands you hope for a piece with the stats you want and just recalibrate the talents. I have pieces where I simply wanna improve the raw stats.

Yeah, the cap to attributes is a big problem in my book. First, attributes are usually the last thing people want to calibrate (save a few really good ones). Most people recalibrate talents. So when we finally get a brand set we like, with a talent we like, it would make perfect sense to be able to recalibrate attributes as is. But we can't. Instead, we lose up to 60% of its value in the transfer. That doesn't feel satisfying at all and it does nothing but add more gear to an already HUMONGOUS pile of junk we have to get rid every day.

Yes...the recalibration in TD2 is one of the things that is much worse than it was in TD1.

    -caps
-too restrictive in what can be changed to what.
-not able to use crafted gear for recals makes not only recal limited...but also crafting.
-and having to keep a supply of gear with things you might want in the stash is one of the worst QoL decisions I have ever seen in a game.

Only one slot for re-calibration is not enough.
It should allow to change at least two slots - state and talent

I agree, the new recalibration system is the root cause of builds not being fulfilled and the stash space being much more of an issue than it ever was in the 1st iteration of this title, simply due to the player having to hang on to gear for recalibration fodder.

This overloads the stash and inventory. Not sure if this recalibration/optimization change was truly thought out for a short term let alone long term.

If you only create a single build and are content with playing that build for the rest of the game’s lifespan, then the current system is probably adequate. If you want a couple of builds for some variety in how you approach objectives, then this system is lackluster and needs to be redesigned/reimagined.

Solution: Change the recalibration bench to NOT require other gear pieces and have it work similar to the way it did in D1. This will solve the stash space issue.

Give the players the ability to change the color of stats firearms/defense/electronics. Give the players the ability to change 2 talents/stats on a piece of gear as well as changing the damage roll on a weapon. This will solve the poor design of the loot pool being so incredibly diluted leading to crating builds being extremely painful.

    Thanks.

Are you saying destroying a 15% crit item to bump 6% crit to 7% isn't satisfying?

Other than the cap being very low, I think the recalibration system is fine.

DIVERSITY is a good thing. I am sick and tired of everyone wanting a cookie cutter maxed out build. Boring and Pathetic.
