    Build suggestions

Hello all. Just moved up to WT1 and I was wondering if their are some suggestions about successful builds out there. I think I am leaning towards a SMG/LMG build because if the total ammo/clip size and RPM. As well, I want to load up on Offensive Damage icons instead of Defensive and skill power

I am not sure if this is the best idea to do in the endgame. I am open to any and all suggestions and critics to my ideas.

Also, what gear traits do you think would be best for me?

Dont let ANYONE tell you "Do this build or that build" Experiment and find the build that works best for YOU

For example you can be told about the "BEST BUILD EVER!"and it doesnt work for you. Builds are more than stats its about tailoring your build to YOUR playstyle a lot of good a meta build will do you if you dont enjoy playing it. So like I said experiment and come up with your own

Use the time between WT1 and WT5 to figure out which weapons you like using the most, and then focus on making the best build around those weapons/playstile.

I am currently thinking about SMG/LMG build for DZ, but got nothing substantial yet.
Using an AR/MMR build for casual WT5 PvE, mostly aimed towards AR with breadbasket talent. Lots of hard hitting to melt elites, lots of hazard protection to gain some time to jump out of the fire when lag hits, weapon and ar damage where applicable... Some cooldown reduction to get the turret up more often... Horo backpack because it is gorgeous and has good enough attributes, 5.11 station gloves dyed ivory for the same reason.

There really is no point putting a build together until you've got to WT5 anyway as you will just be replacing gear over and over again. That said...

You want to go LMG/SMG. Ok, so you will want to specialise as a Demolitionist as this will give you damage bonuses to both weapons, and right now, this game is al about damage.
Then you will want 1 piece of Petrov armour and 1 piece of Sokolov to, again, get weapon bonuses on those. Other than those two its up to you. Stats and bonuses, you will want to stack weapon damage, weapon type (lmg/smg) damage, damage to elites and headshot damage. Critical Hit Chance and Critical Hit Damage don't seem to be so important. In fact, pretty irrelevant.

Weapon Talents on the LMG, unhinged is a good one to have. If you are going to use the L86 (and I would) then extended magazine is also good. I dont know about smg's as I dont use them, they suck IMO.

Alot depends on your style of play.

Some really solid advice in here. All stuff that I would have suggested too, so I've not got much to add. But I do have something to ask:

How big of an impact have you found crafting a build makes in your overall gameplay performance compared to not having one?

Crafting ??? The crafting is rotten in this game , Grind for your build.. the crafting need fixed... Builds were ok till the tiers then all fell apart .. and crafting does not help..

Night and day. I had a semi coherent "sorta build" for awhile before I decided on something very specific. Went from feeling like I was a drag on the team (shooting noodles) on hard/challenging to being very competitive. The sad part is I had to go cookie cutter to do that, but it is what it is.

And dont run into the trap I did.

For what reason ever I thought that I need all three parts of a brand set to get the bonus, I took me to reach T3 until I recognized that if i wear one part, I get the first set bonus, wear two for two bonuses etc.

Under this LINK under "Brand sets" you can see what bonuses you get for what and how many brand set parts.

Oh, and when you get to WT5. Dont ever give green gear sets a thought. They are currently an abomination.
