i just want to complain about bullet sponges of the enemy when we increase the difficulties of stronghold from hard to challenge (the outcast stronghold especially) and this is sucks, because i thought the bullet sponges of the enemy are back and it even worse than before, eventhough when i equiped with gearset True Patriot and keep the debuffing enemies it seems the debuff function has no effect at all, and its pretty common now i see a lot of people leaving the group in matchmaking game session when doing stronghold, if this issue are hard to fix then at least make the signature weapon ammo drop more common or at least please put special ammo crate that we can re pick or else, i just dont want to see people rage quit the session just because of the game are "hard"..
Veterans give me more problems than elites. Just stack Damage to Elites. You can get absolutely ridiculous rolls for the mask attribute, as my GS 479 mask has 43% DTE without hard hitting rolled on it. Then just get hard hitting on all of your other gear talents. I'm sitting at 101% DTE right now and golds drop fairly quick and challenging missions have become fairly routine for my group.
My PVE loadout is all about stacking weapon damage/AR damage with Damage to Elites and a little bit of crit, and it's proving to be quite effective even with not being optimized. I run a Fenris vest rolled to Berserk and hard hitting with heath, armor and weapon damage attributes...D&H 3 piece: mask has 43% DTE with the armor regen talent, holster has 14.5% crit chance with the crit damage talent and knees are rolled to crit chance with hard hitting...5:11 gloves with AR damage and MR damage with the devastated talent... Wyvern bag with health weapon damage and crit chance along with Hard hitting and hardened talents. I HATE LMGs so I use only ARs. My Custom P416 is almost max damage with ranger and allegro paired with the Chatterbox(Chatterbox's holstered talent is crazy good).
My group plays only challenging missions or higher and, sure, we wipe sometimes, but for the most part we usually don't have too many issues. I love running in and getting shot up right away that way Berserk kicks in. It's risky, but very fun and very intense. When it works, my Reviver hive is my best friend, when it doesn't, it can be a long mission. Don't give up guys, once you get a nice damage build going the challenging missions are very doable and fun. For me, the worst part of this game was the nerfs to skill builds pretty much making weapon damage based builds the only viable option in this game ATM.

Why they didn't kept TD1 formula of armor dmg? It was perfect back then.
I guess some people just enjoy failing over and over again.
Didn't TD1 also have DTE and PFE ? It was kinda the same fail in TD1, as it made the veterans the real dangerous and spongy ones. In general it seems they learned nearly nothing from TD1, on the other hand this seems to be a trend, D1 -> D2 and Anthem seems to be like the first looter shooter ever created.Originally Posted by lucasbragat Go to original post
Maybe it's better to, you know, not get full DTE? Try to increase overall dmg.Originally Posted by Diedel443 Go to original post
Oh, please. It can be only in cases, where 70 of those bullets didn't hit the target. So, please, stop that ****.Originally Posted by alucard_413 Go to original post

It takes me 2 full clips to take down a Veteran enemy armor on Heroic.
Not bullet-spongy enough for you?
Honestly, choose the difficulty that might suit you the best. Not everyone has to finish a mission on heroic or challenge. Usually the enemies aren't bullet sponges in the open world or on normal difficulty or even hard (despite the group scaling). The other two difficulties are here for the absolute challenge hence the name challenge.
I know challenge difficulty is pretty doable if you play solo or at the max with one buddy. With more than one buddy one might need an improved build to succeed. So.. Choose the difficulty your current build, skills and playstyle might be best for.
There is only one more gold item to get if you choose challenge instead of hard difficutly and so on... So who cares? Improve your build, your playstyle etc. if you want to succeed in a higher difficulty.
That's heroic. What did you expect? 1 headshot from an smg?Originally Posted by lucasbragat Go to original post
