[customisation] A lot to ask
Hey Ubi team !
First of all, I would like to thank you for the beta because the game looks great and you seem to care for our feedback more than ever. Really glad you got that right unlike some other companies.
I hope you're happy because the beta completely got me. I pre-ordered the game because seriously, I loved it so far and I CAN'T WAIT to get to tier 4 and 5.
For the suggestions :
They are mainly focused on customisation and aesthetics. I'm a beauty planner : I want my city to look stunning and I feel like it's a bit lacking. It's much better than what we had in the past, sure but still. That's probably because I'm an architecture student.
Please Ubisoft, hear my prayers. Even if you don't add this on release, I hope you will add those on upcoming updates. Thanks !
More colors !
I wish we had more colors for our flags. You did an amazing job with the logos already. Seriously, first time in a game I wasn't like "uuuh, I like none of them. This one is okay I guess." I actually took time to consider a lot of them. So why don't you give them more colors ? Why isn't there orange or red ? You put 3 SHADES OF BLUE while not having all the primary and secondary colors ! Also, adding white and grey would be nice.
Flag poles and banners
As stated above, I really like your works on banners and I wish to see them more often. So why not add some 1x1 flag poles and vertical banners to decorate my cities ? They could even be burnt down by angry mobs during protests ! (Ok maybe I'm taking this too far). But you get the idea ! If you add this, please make it so we can rotate the banners on 8 axis and not 4 (like, straight and diagonally).
More parks and decorations
I know it's just a beta and that tier 4 and 5 are locked but I wish we could have more parks and decorations. More variety but also, bigger monuments. Some 3x3 glorious monuments or even a 4x4 gigantic fountain ! Maybe a little lake for a nice huge park, like Central Park ? (or Parc de la Tête d'Or in Lyon, France). If it exists already, it's probably in tier 4-5 so I have faith.
Zoos and museums
Each part must be connected directly. Logical, sure. But what's not logical (and not pretty) is that parks and alleys are not considered part of the zoos or the museums. Why is it bothering me ? Because I can't make a huge zoo-park with nice prairies or I can't surround some parts with alleys or fences. I wish you could add parks as part of the construction menu on the museums/zoos so the game consider it as part of it.
Articles variety
It's the least of my problems (and everyone's problems actually) but I wish we could have variants for newspaper's article. I didn't play a lot and they already feel overused. Especially the "Are you a genius ?" article, which I used 4 times in a row. I even had the same article twice but talking about two different islands. It was a little bit ridiculous but hey, it's just a detail !
I don't think it requires a lot of time nor skills to make 4-5 variants for each different article but you could make a contest where people write the text, we vote and you just need to add the picture. It'd be fun and make us participate !
Yes, my concerns are only focused on details. But I hope you can add those, even in later updates ! Thank you Ubisoft !

Like, a different fountain and more different statues. As they are 1x1, they are reaaaaally useful for making nice little parks but, always the same ? Meh.
