Let me start by saying this.

I am a huge division fan. I am probably one of very few players on division one with over 400 days actual time logged and played on it across 4 players.

Now. Division two. Graphics are amazing. Pve content is amazing. The dynamics and construct of the pve raids upcoming is outstanding. Lets not forget that.

However i am primarily a pvp player. And to me, and i feel the rest of the community, that aspect is severely lacking and frankly fails to grasp my attention for years like the division one did in its current state.

My suggestions to make it just as fun as division one are as follows:

1: re enable darkzone in game chat. Yes, while on one hand it did uphold a certain abundance of toxicity in the game, it also allowed for players to have a drive and competitive edge against each other in the dark zones.

2: split the dark zones 3 ways. Not two. At the current moment we have 3 darkzones, two in which are normalized, and one occupied. I suggest taking one of these normalized dark zones and turning it into a non normalized, rouge 2.0 system in which your build matters yet you still have to flag.

3: remove the shock affect from the dz turrets. The normal turrets destroy you enough as is and serve as a warning to rouge players in that state. Why add shock to them?

4: encourage the use of build diversity and its strengths. STOP NERFING THINGS. the fun of division one is how you could spec into a certain talent, skill, weapon type, ect, and make even a "total trash" weapon in the right hands totally competitive with the meta builds. In the current state of division two, there is very few effective builds and its repetitive.

5: rework the skill power system as well as the effectiveness. This is probably my biggest/most work involved suggestion. Right now skill power is only useful to unlock certain mods, in which some mods are completely unobtainable in both normalized and regular gameplay while maintaining effectiveness. I enjoyed the division 1 system of more skill power meant you where a more effective healer ect. Thats how it should be in my humble opinion.

6: bring back squad "tasks/given roles" in division one, any effective team had a healer, two dps dealers, and a defender/mid range build. Bring that back! Right now there is no room on a team for healers, and pvp teams are rather bland in the fact of its simply a short face trade of a squad of four and thats that. Bring back the given roles where you need to eliminate the healer to continue, ect.

7: bring back the ability to boost your gears given stats to max. That i think would be a massive help to pvp players which, to be 100% honest, is why division 1 lasted as long as it did. Its pvp players, not nearly as much as its pve players.

I hate to say it, and cringe at the implications of my next statement but

8: bring back gear sets that are actually effective. Allow talants to be on said gear pieces. As, in their current state, gear sets are utterly useless and not worth farming for. However, if at all possible, maintain the possibility of running a quote on quote hexo build still.

All in all, i hate to say it. But i agree with marco on the point that the division 2 just does not have the same grab and enjoyment in pvp as the division one did, and i cannot see myself playing or enjoying the game without some major changes done. Even through all the exploits, metas, ect that division one had, tbh each update was part of the fun and excitement of the game. Having to get back that awesome builds, having the desire to try different builds and ideas, out wit or change things up to beat the opposition, these are the things that kept me playing division 1 for over 400 days.

Division team, please, i hope when you or if you read this, do not see it as another angry review or butthurt player. Im simply a die hard division fan that wants to see the franchise he loves go far, yet is disappointed in its current state and simply desires to suggest some improvements.
