They all have some really good atmospheric music. I love that style, but if I had to pick a favorite original soundtrack it is Far Cry 5 for me.

Stumbled into Ubisoft thru the AC Origins and then AC Odyssey too.

Can't really complain about Ubisoft, having a blast with Ghost Recon Wildlands, Far Cry 5 and FC New Dawn since then.

Could be a plus or a minus but their games seem structured in about the same way. Meaning play one and you probably can play the others without too much difficulty. The drawback is that their games become to similar and does not bing much novelty to the table.

Either way never regretted the switch since Bioware don't make SP RPG's any more let alone good playable games!

Music was good in Far Cry 5. But what about exotic countries music? Local music also should be in the future. Far Cry 5 was in Montana.....everything is clear with music. American-european music...may be hip-hop. We are used to such music. But Far Cry as usual about distant exotic countries. Local melodies should be also! Local beautiful songs. It will make Far Cry more authentic and immersive. As people around speaking language we don't understand. Place itself should change a style of the game. For example, Far Cry 4 has a bit smell of Bollywood ( as it was near India). Far Cry somewhere in South America should have a smell of Latin American series ( not soap opera but romance)....it can be mixed with smell of Rodriguez movies also. And all this dessert should be filled with colorful local music. Not "all that glitters" but good and beautiful songs. Chosen carefully.

I finished all the Far Cry games starting with FC3. I am not a big fan of the older AC games but I was looking for more single player open world games to play for now and PSN had a sale last week of AC Odyssey for $19.99. I watched video reviews and saw that the game looked more like The Witcher type of game play so I picked that up two days ago. Today started the new PSN sale and Origins Gold Edition is $24.99 So I picked that up. Now playing both for the next few hundred hours. These should keep me going until the ultimate game FOR ME is released. Cyberpunk 2077!

Ultimate game is Far Cry 6! Cyberpunk2077 is a dark horse. First of all, people don't like games about future. Choosing the game as cyberpunk was initially mistake! Yes, The Witcher 3 was excellent game....but it was beautiful romantic game with wonderful landscapes. Moving through this world was a pleasure for the eyes. Enjoyement, relaxation. Cyberpunk is a different thing! Who will like it?! Some people definitely will. But not so many as The Witcher 3. Cyberpunk itself is a matter of taste. Not everyone is blessed to fall in love with that style!

My only complaint with both far cry 5 and New Dawn is with the story getting in the way. Games themselves are great. but what ever you do the story goes through the same boring role. You then realize that what ever you achieve you can't change anything. It was all for nothing.

One big exception being The Division, and maybe Beyond Good and Evil (though I've not played that one).

Sadly The Division tempts you with great level design, graphics, and missions, only to throw very confusing and grindy RPG features at you to ruin everything. It's easily as buggy and loot stagnant as Dead Island, yet it's a game where gear, weapons, talents and bonuses are MUCH more important to have. They couldn't even manage making the crafting and optimizing precise after ALL the time you spend assembling a like gear set. Instead you toss your precious gear, weapons, resources, credits, etc, into a Make a Wish machine that only promises a vague range of stat outcomes, and some random bonus.

Worse yet, they pulled in a lot of TD1 players by tempting them with a free trial when TD2 launched, only to stop having the twice monthly Global Events which put multipliers on rewards and net you much better items. Without GEs, you stagnate after you reach about gear rating 250 or so, then all gear and weapons you loot have about 1/3 to 1/2 the stats of what you already have. It is said TD1 is a "Looter Shooter". I call it a Shoot Looter because it often has you saying "Shoot, I got crap for loot AGAIN!?"

The more I play New Dawn the more I realise how BAD Far Cry 5 was. In comparison New Dawn is 100% more fun to play. Far Cry 5 was a mess.
