Hey there kingsc1, welcome to the forums!
If the Xbox is in DMZ mode, you shouldn't really be getting this error. It is very odd that your router is moving it around without your permission. Perhaps this is a security feature of the router, or some sort of glitch?
Regardless, you are right to contact your ISP. I hope they can shed some light on this!
Well - now I don't know.
I noticed on my 5268AC modem from AT&T that it removes and readds the Xbox to DMZ+ mode every five minutes like clockwork so seems normal and there doesn't appear to be any way for me to increase that time interval (lease?) or remove it entirely. The guy on the phone at AT&T wasn't insanely helpful either. This also happened a few times while I was able to stay on Division 2 before it finally disconnected. I assume this just means that the connection to Division 2 servers is much more sensitive than other applications. I can play other games with *almost* no issue (I do notice CoD:BO4 will hang for just a moment from time to time but stay connected, while other times it does disconnect but more rare). The only other game I see this level of connectivity issue with to the point of almost being useless is Elder Scrolls Online.
Anyway, they're going to send me a NG599 and we'll see how that goes.
Im having a problem with just a black screen for almost about 3hrs with no game playOriginally Posted by kingsc1 Go to original post
Update - Something I didn't even think to try before was playing on my other Xbox that isn't on the DMZ. I was able to play for a solid hour before I had to go to work - no delta-03s. I'm really thinking this DMZ+ behavior of renewing every five minutes is causing the problem. I have a 5268AC VDSL gateway from my ISP, and asking that they send a different model to test with. I may also remove my problem Xbox from the DMZ and instead configure port forwarding and see if that resolves it.
Update - Play 2.5 hrs now with zero disconnects. Looks like how DMZ works on this gateway (5268AC) is the culprit but I still need to test switching out for a diff gateway model (NVG599) to confirm. May want to add this to your troubleshooting data.
