Ive had the game for 2 weeks, racked up 57 hrs worth of game time & got all the golds ( Finally - Inferno V was a B***h
Before I go into the issues i have found with this game, I Honestly have to admit how impressed I am with the way the game runs on my system - I just about scrape in there with a I5 2500, but have the recommended GCard & 8 Gb of RAM - apart from the odd stutter & frame catch up every now n then(single player), the game run very smoothly @ 1080p even on high settings of which I'm astonished by as i couldn't get the "open beta" game to run at all :O
The game itself is very enjoyable, I might not agree with some of the changes (5 secs added with a fault? .. No multiplayer with friends from the start ... A non linear track list ) but thats your personal vision and the actually playability is Top Notch as it was in previous games
Bugs -
1 - My girlfriend cannot play trials using another windows profile via Her Uplay Account On my PC as a anti cheat error comes up ( the beta was not played on this profile so I have no files to delete either) Funnily tho .. It works fine on my profile via steam. The game has been re-downloaded 2 times and installed to 2 different locations - error still persists on Her profile ( But she can play on her own machine at her home via Uplay no problems?)
2 - The game config settings tend to reset after a cold boot of the machine - mainly full screen back to boarder-less window & music vol which is set to zero playing at 100% untill I move the marker - then it instant cuts out.
3 - The on screen controls do not represent the controller i am using ( they all say (L) ) and nothing else ( im using xbox360 pad )
4 - If you use the KB+mouse anywhere in the game to navigate - when u go into MP and the race starts - the Pad Controller fails to work at all ( this has happened on 2 separate machines using a Xbox pad & a Ps4 Pad) you can only use ure arrow keys to move + u auto loose MP ranking due to sitting still at start of race wondering why u are not moving
5 - Challenges In progress don't not record Flips/wheelies/endos properly - E.g. If i get 5 flips and pass a check point n then fault most of the time those 5 flips will get erased - however some of the time they are not & nothing gets erased even tho exactly the same procedure has happened - A Info screen telling you how this is ment to work would be helpful cos i cant figure out
6 - Loot boxes don't appear correctly after around lvl 70/80 .. I would lvl up & be told that i have a box - when I look, either there is nothing or I get 2 crates on random occasions? Also some of the Challenger crates never appear (the gear in these is very similar to the normal crates, so u wonder what is the big deal is and tend to avoid going for them and the reward is small ) also some Items that i get from crates do not appear ever, they just get lost ) I'm at Lvl 138 atm and feel that ive missed out on a lot of loot.
7 - I'm finding that even tho i can complete some of the more exotic challenges that require a lot of back flips + inverted air time + beat or catch up & a hell of a lot of retrys - I cannot complete some of the "easy" donkey challenges that just want me to finsh on the donkey due to what seems like the wheel not being able to grip the surface its landing on properly - The "Uk Upper" track in particular is causing me issues and has done with some of the other challenges (This could be my pad having a over sensitive throttle) - Just out of interest ... Has anyone managed to complete the "finish with the donkey" challenges on Uk Upper & Baiknore Base ... im finding them impossible atm
8 - Most of the lagging tend to happen when the track "turns" - so tracks with a lot of turns lagg more than straighter tracks that have more detail within them.
9 - When I do manage to find a Online Race - even if i win - my points go down? + I won all three of the rounds but it only registered that I won the 2nd & 3rd![]()
10 - The Strict NAT MP Game Killer - This may be a Ubisoft Issue mainly but I cant help feel that its 2019 & this is still a problem.
I connect to the net via a 4G mobile Hotspot & have done for the last 5 years - I get unrestricted, no limit data with average up/down speeds of 35mb/25mb and a in game ping of around 50/65 for £24 per month & its portable to use where ever in the uk I choose ..... It has caused me no issues on any game unless its from Ubisoft or Origin - Every other online game i have works.
A lot of people that I know also connect to the net Via 4G Mifi or Mobile Hotspot for gaming / entertainment as its fast & reliable enough .. until they come across companies that require the users to use age old setups that require them to open ports (some 4g devices dont have this option).
Other companies have got around this somehow its about time ubisoft caught up .. Something to do with Upnp (or more precisely "IDG") being built in to their servers (they future proofed)

I don't know if Ubisoft already has this implemented, but its not working & hasn't done since Uplay came out so i suspect they haven't.
Search the net & you'll see that at least 35% of ure player base has this NAT problem & it will get worse as wireless internet becomes more widely used by the mass player market that exist outside the major cities in the world & more and more people who are less technically minded people enter the world of gaming ( look at the mobile market ) - Ubisoft u want money ... fix ure online services!
Steam, Epic, Blizzard,Microsoft & Playstation don't have these issues, yet a program built on a pc for other Pc`s by ubisoft still does :/
If you want people to buy ubisoft products then they need to work properly, I normally don't buy games that have come out via ubisoft due to this, I stick with Steam cos it works & only bought this game due to being a fan of the Trials series. ( Still bought via steam tho )
I honestly don't see myself bothering to buy any DLC`s ( until they go on sale, sorry)for this game if this is not fixed as the attraction of Multiplayer racing is a high one -"Fusion" pretty much died after all the DLC`s were released due to Multiplayer becoming a grave yard due to this strict NAT stuff again.
People want convenience in today's world( that's why supermarkets rule & online shopping has taken over the high street - Convenience!! .. They don't want to have to go thru loads of configs just to get 1 game to work properly - that's windows 98 days ... 20 years ago!
I learned my lesson with Fusion - The game might be great but it don't work online properly ..... In which case ... just play another game ... Rocket League got my 900+ hrs & a lot of DLCs .... cos it worked online ( including cross-play & cross party play ) all on 4G with no extra setup required from me - JUST WORKS!
Sorry for the rant but every time Red lynx have released a Trials via Ubisoft this problem occurs
Grievances -
1 - You cannot view The replays you got for the Challenges in the uni of trials which imo were much harder to achieve that just getting a A+
2 - When doing the challenges in the uni of trials - if i get to the checkpoint needed in time but fail to push the "RB" before the timer goes over the allowed amount - it auto fails the contract which is incredibly unfair considering how hard they are to get.
3 - Some of the Hard tracks feel harder than the Extreme tracks - I'm a veteran of this series, been building since HD & playing since Trials 2 (Flash) and tend to Gold tracks on my 1st try when riding Hard tracks .... I felt due to some of the physics on certain hard tracks that it was harder for me to attain the gold medal than it was on the extreme tracks of which i got them all on my 1st or 2nd run ( apart from Inferno V where the difficulty curve ramped right up n I couldn't complete until my 5th/6th run).
4 - The what used to be "loose Wheel" challenge in the skill games has been replaced by don't let the front wheel touch certain areas, whereas elsewhere in the games the "loose wheel" challenge exists within some contracts?( u even have the old indicator bar on the right) .......
The track itself is not very inventive - feels lazy compared to what you offered in previous titles n to top it off, you dont even have a section in the uni of trials to help you learn how to hold a wheely - A missed opportunity to teach some basic Ninja Skills Imo.
I fluked Silver using the Rhino in the end as i found the Mantis impossible to hold and I spent most of this "skill game" dying 1 second into the track only to very annoyingly repeat the 1st 5 meters of this track over & over & over :/ This could just be the way i play, but when I can complete some of the extreme tracks easily, I'm scratching my head on this one.
Why you changed this skill game after 10 years beats me, everyone I know was very happy with the old format & just awaiting another well planned scenic track for it - not a boring stadium with ramps :/
5 - Im not sure if this is the design, but when completing some challenges - The tracks where u have to either catch up or beat silver are always 10x harder than the tracks where u need to beat Gold ... This seems counter intuitive?
6 - The inconsistency of the riders head during crashes - sometimes i can wack a wall v hard n not die & in contrast sometimes i skim a object with my head n I die.
7 - The Strict NAT problem
It may seem like that I have listed a lot of problems but I have only done this In the hope that they are useful & they will allow Red Lynx & Ubisoft to polish their product(s) to the way they hopefully intended them to be. As I mentioned b4 Im a seasoned player of the trials series and even with its little grips along the way - the game has always been very enjoyable & returnable over a number of years and I applaud & thank you for that!
