Could you explain to this egit why it's an important part of any set up. The only thing I find good about it is it's looks.

One thing that gets me, you fully upgrade the the m32, it'll consistently kill entire GROUPS of elites in two-three hits fairly reliably - often only needing two shots.

full damage upgrade for the crossbow - if you're lucky to pin the target twice mid fight, you'll likely paste them - AND get splash damage and kill others around.

Full damage TAC-50 - you'll need three hits on average - on paper, it sounds reasonable, it's comparable damage, right up to the moment you consider that it has no AOE. You cannot count on collateral, there is NO margin for error. You come out of the several seconds of exposure having eliminate a SINGLE elite target, the payoff's are not comparable.

If you hit every single pin-point round, two if you headshot - one on a rusher, if you're lucky and it isn't a hyena with a base-ball helmet - 'but it can penetrate'... it will still not reliably achieve multi-kills on par with the m32 or even the crossbow.

if the TAC-50 can 'change the battlefield' on the same level as both its comparable spec weapons, it needs to hit and DROP that single target in inarguable fashion.

Just consider the average potential damage that is often achieved with the AOE of both alternate weapons, and PACK THAT IN to a single shot.

Yeah it definitely doesn't feel as impact as a real 50 cal would be. I still find it functional in game, pop it out during boss fights, usually 2-3 headshots will take down a named yellow in Challenging in my experience, maybe 4-5 if it's the heavy flavor. I do agree thought that thematically it should only take one shot to kill pretty much anything, maybe heavies should take two - one to break helmet one to aerate their head, but IMO anything short of a heavy should die in one shot to the head... I mean no one IRL, no matter what sort of armor they have on, would even remotely stand a chance at surviving a 50 cal to the dome. If one shotting bosses would make it too strong in the current iteration, it'd be fine to pull the ammo back a little, I know I would be just fine with only having 5 shots if every headshot was a guaranteed kill.

Not sure what would be the best way to balance it, but it definitely needs to feel more powerful.

^^ it doesn't really feel like that right now.

Nah, I like having the most powerful sniper rifle man has ever created not even remove shields of a purple enemy. It’s just the cherry on top of this steaming pile of poop this game is.

It was originally designed to penetrate engine blocks to stop threatening vehicles before getting too close. Believe it or not, the biggest obstacle of any guns accuracy is glass. The way glass shatters and the multiple different consistencies, make it a nightmare to shoot through and retain accuracy.

Yeah i feel this signature gun really need a buff. Sharpshooter talent is great for solo PvE and even PvP thanks to headshot dmg but the gun is just meh. It should be able to bypass enemy armour and impact right onto their healthbar which sound kinda...OP? but would love to hear Massive opinion

Tac50 definately needs an upgrade in damage.

Yesterday we were doing Grand Warshington Hotel on Challenging difficulty, and with perfect headshot I barely took 1/3 of elite's armor . It is silly.
This is specialized weapon, single-shot that requires a lot of skill to shot (playing on ps4, not pc ) and it feels really disappoiting when landed shot deals barely any significant damage. I'd expect a One Shot One Kill policy from this weapon, _especially_ on hard+ difficulties.

Contrary to crossbow and granade launcher, it's not AoE and you have to aim and shoot precisely to get the effect, that is why its raw damage should outclass dmg of the other signature weapons.
Not to mention, that it should outclass any other marksman rifle.

And I totally agree with others, that it should sound more ' WOOOOOT !' on the battlefield, as the real msniper rifle do .
I once had an opportunity to shoot a sniper rifle (not Tac50, but lesser) and the sound it makes is extraordinarety, loud and powerful. And I expect no less from the Tac50 in the game.

I understand it’s definitely a slippery slope between underpowered and boss deletion. But as it stands now, I might get ONE ammo drop throughout an entire mission. At that point, it may as well be a boss deleting weapon. I can’t remember the last time I actually used the tac50. It looks cool on my back though, so there’s that.

Ammo drops stay the same: increase damage. Ammo drops increase: keep current damage.

Edit: My vote is keep current ammo drop rates for it, but greatly increase it’s damage. When ammo was dropping like candy, I still barely used it. This being because the time it takes to select it, wait for its orange screen thingy and for it to zero-in, I could have killed multiple targets with my primary.

I'd argue that if 'boss deletion' is that much of a concern in 'Division 2.1 return of the bullet sponge' the dev team need to think up new ways to challenge players BESIDES being so scared to buff anything they will instead readily nerf every tool at a players' disposal.
