Ya TAC-50 needs to be stronger than what it is now. As shown and explained by 5.11, the TAC-50 in real life is strong enough to rip through Concrete walls and Steel plates.

It is not as explosive as the other two Spec weapons but by design it is basically a Anti-Armor Sniper Rifle which if a person hit by it.... well expect them to have a very big hole in their body or a missing limb.

    Agree.

Tac50 should definately be stronger than it currently is.

Not only you have to do a perfect shot (no explosive), the current dmg is sometimes worse than regular marksman.

It should rip enemies apart with single shots. Perhaps maybe hurt them though cover ?

Right now.. it's even bugged. Check the vid:

It's definitely an important part of any setup - both before and after upgrading. Especially if the Tac-50 and other Specialization weapons are made so strong, how much ammo do you feel should be provided for what would essentially be boss-deletion devices? Or how might stockpiling your ammo then become a secondary objective of sorts?

This is pretty much what i been trying to explain in one of my threads ... i love the TAC 50 caliber sniper and the self sharpshooter specialization .. in WT4 it was enjoyable doing 2 mil headshots on the elites and almost bringed them down in one shot ... after their "nerfs" for headshot damage, the TAC 50 sniper became utter useless ... im doing now btw 900k to 1.2 mil headshots.. meanwhile grenade launchers comes out of nowhere and obliterates not just one but the whole group together with its insane damage ... so ye , i agree with most of u all, they just buff the damage on TAC 50 and make it a super weapon since its a signature weapon

Noisehammer, when I last tested, marksman rifles don't do their actual damage to the targets in the shooting range, probably same as the sniper. I wouldn't use that as actual proof, use real world enemies.

Also Ubi-realdude, don't take this the wrong way and I'm not trying to be rude, but I'd say that 80% of your replies to threads are questions. Are you asking rhetorical questions to give us the illusion that you guys are listening, or do you actually relay this feedback to the devs?

Anyway tac-50 being a little underpowered is fine in my opinion because the tree gives the most passive boost to guns, in the form of 30% reload speed, stability and headshot damage and also flash nade is pretty good CC. But maybe make it do a little more damage to armor because there's pretty much no point in using a tac-50 on a heavily armored target

It should have 5 round detachable box magazine, and you need to increase the dmg of this pee shooter. This weapon is a long-range anti-materiel and anti-personnel sniper rifle.

I just wish some ammo would drop for it, didn’t have an issue with the crossbow but for some reason no matter how many headshots still no ammo drops

And needs a serious buff, especially with the alternative snipers and builds players can make

As it stands now I don't even use my spec weapons. The ammo drop rate at launch was perfect. I used my weapon freely. I didn't save it to delete bosses, and I didn't worry about stockpiling ammo. Now I still don't worry about stockpiling ammo because I can't even fill it up in 8 hours of gameplay so I don't even bother checking or using it anymore. Even after the patch that supposedly "fixed" it, ammo is nowhere to be found.

One ammo per minute of battle feels about right to me. I'd rather have a third of the ammo capacity than disappointing drop rates. This is a PvE game, so it's OK if things are a bit off-balance. Small, intentional imbalance is an important (albeit rarely discussed because it pisses people off) design necessity of good PvP games so being overly-worried about it in PvE is silly imo.

7 ammo mag without any more in your pocket.
All dmg modifiers, like headshot dmg, sniper rifle dmg, should apply to the 50 CAL. rifle WITHOUT headshots. So we will get that dmg in ANY part of the body. 2m in the leg or head - doesn't matter.
It's a single shot one hit weapon, it should delete 1 enemy from the game in a single shot (2 for super thick).
