There are duplicates so you eventually break down and buy those missing pieces you want with real money.

Same, every single regular cache I've opened over the last 3 weeks has been a duplicate. I've given up opening them now.

Only idiots and people with more money than sense do this, surely?

Yes, and you can convert your real money into XP when you get a dupe, TD2 is PTW !!!!!

Duplicate caches seems to be a thing with Division I keep getting them too This kept happening in division one to me .If it means I have all the items then they need to add more new items .There clearly isn’t enough if we’re getting duplicates or another bug to the list duplicates are getting annoying

Regular caches give dupes. Event caches don’t. Be sure to dupe your dupes

XP for duplicates was one of the worst design decision changes from Division 1 to 2. This makes the regular blue/purple caches obviously last longer given the limited number of objects, but it's poor customer service design since the XP after 30 is meaningless. Limiting the possibility of world drops is also a poor design idea.

How hard is it to pay an intern designer to churn out reskins? Cosmetic items should be an easy thing to fix.

There aren't that many normal pieces to collect so you get to the duplicate part of the dice roll pretty quick but it's infuriating to be missing a few ordinary pieces just to waste keys on duplicate items.

getting duplicates most of the time now its rare to actually get an item that I dont have, regardless of the cache giving blue/purple or gold items. In the 10 or so keys Ive crafted I think i have got 2 items I didnt have. When I check the apparel there is still plenty of items I dont have. Started a second toon a few weeks back when the uproar about RNG on invaded missions was stopping a lot of people getting Nemesis and I didnt get a single apprel item in the open world from level 1 to level 30. All items came from collecting keys from proficiency caches and crafting keys.

My guess is once you hit a certain number of apparel items they stop dropping in the LZ and you either have to craft keys and put up with multiple duplicates or..... you guessed it....... buy items your missing with real money
