This is a copy of the letter I sent to the Ubisoft support team regarding my position on the April 5 patch. I'm sure that there are players out there that enjoy the changes that were made but I am not one of them.
If you do not feel the way I do I can understand that but please make sure to understand my feelings as well. If you have no valid input or are only intent on trolling please refrain from any language or other comments that may breach Ubisoft's https://forums.ubi.com/showthread.ph...ode-of-Conduct

Dear Australian support staff member
My name is Lens00140
I am writing to you today after much discussions that have been held in the official The Division 2 forum.
I purchased The Division 2 back in February this year and started playing on 13 March (early access) Loved the game for the first 3 days until a patch caused a few in game issues (not performance related). A few issues have been resolved and until the latest patch I have had zero issues with the performance of TD2
The April 5 patch completely crashed my computer to the point I had to disconnect the cmos battery to restart the computer. I had an approximate 5 min of gameplay after the patch had been deployed onto my computer.
I build and repair computers for a living and was helping others of the past two weeks on the forum to look into their settings via the pastebin dxdiags and msinfo they provided, I was able to make the calculations that there are serious memory allocation issues with the game and the handling requests of the game.
As I stated I had nil issues leading up to this patch and now I do.
The other reason I am here and this is more of a legal and rights issue is that of the changes that have been made to the game after my purchase. The latest patch has not only made the game unplayable, it has completely changed the game from what I had purchased by taking away elements that I worked hard for over the last 25 days.
The game in the latest patch has completely rewritten the game from what it was when I decided to purchase it.
This is not something that is covered in you terms of sale agreement nor in the terms of use. The game has completely changed into a game I do not recognize nor would have purchased if I had been aware this would have happened.
Patches are to fix bugs and graphics, not to completely rewrite the game to beyond that of which I entered an agreement with Ubisoft on my purchase.
I do not see the changes that have implemented and completely changed the games dynamics and the enjoyment it was providing as a patch as such. It has changed the game into something it was not which I could see as a breach of agreement.
We are now at the stage that I am prepared to act accordingly to these changes and ask that you take into consideration the best way that we can find agreement on this matter.
1. Roll back the changes that were made
2. Look into the removal of the game from my computer and a refund as per the Australian consumer rights (ACCC) (These changes were made outside of your 14 day refund policy)
3. Respond with relevant information for further communications with a senior support staff member within 5 business days
The need for my dxdiag and msinfo is not needed in this case so please do not ask for me to supply them, the fact of the game being completely changed from what I purchased is the main issue we have.
Yours sincerely
Lens00140
What do you hope to achieve by posting this here?
The above sentence does not state that you (Lens00140) is not allowed to share the reply you get, just insuring you that it won't be by Ubisoft. So I don't see why you have not included the reply. All correspondence between the User and Customer Service is private. It will not be divulged to other users.
Also, you must know that these things happen now days, and games change like the wind blows. The meta changes all the time.
Call it balancing, patches, bug fixes, whatever you want. It is common knowledge, or at least should be.
Yes PacManiacDK, I had a think about the wording of the clause and it only states that Ubisoft will not share it, but before posting (if I get a reply) I will run it passed a Staffer or edit out the names of the support team for privacy.Originally Posted by PacManiacDK Go to original post
As for achievement, probably very little and it's probably not going to be agreement for my stand, but people read it, members or not and I'm sharing my feedback towards the A5P and where I'm at. Better posting here than in the gen section where it would most likely become a flame war.
x.Incinerator.x, Yep that's sort of sums it up, Yay or Nay is covered with a lol and I like that![]()
Elvensoul, yeah from the info others have posted the support team is overloaded, Hmmm wonder why
Raiden1893, yep I'm upset and these are man tears from the fact that TD2 was so enjoyable and worked to what it is now
FurioSSx, did you play the game as it was release as on 13 March cause it does not sound like it, and yeah it was a rewrite of the dynamics of pretty much everything in game. I understand that games such as TD2 will have changes made but this was not just a change, it completely nerf'd the game into a teenagers wet dream waste of time. That's not the game I purchased and I will continue to stand by my decisions.
I don't want any sympathy, I was fooled by Ubi. The point of me posting this was going to attract comment as well it will show those that feel the same that I am doing something about it instead of threatening to do something about it.
For those that agree just click the thumbs up and that will make me see I'm not alone
Don't for one second think this is about the money cause I would rather be playing the game right now.
The letter does not state specifically which changes were implemented that changed the games purpose or the structure of the game. They'll kindly tell you that your argument is invalid. Last time I checked, it's still a loot shooter with the missions and storyline of the division. It's not turned into Tetris or anything. If the game mechanics or buffering has you pissed off, state critically with details which buffs were changed to not suit the playability.
So you say this:
This clearly means you think those are useful for diagnosing crashes. and then you say this in the same letterOriginally Posted by Lens00140 Go to original post
I agree the skill changes completely changed the games skill mechanics, the weapon mods and damage nerfs although super annoying are not as game breaking as killing viable skill builds is.Originally Posted by Lens00140 Go to original post
However you ask them to not ask you for the same files you requested from others to help isolate a crashing issue, which should be your primary concern.
So I can say that the majority of my clan and Division friends list play hours upon hours with occasional once in a blue moon crashes. this means something about your particular setup may be the key factor to determining what those PCs crashed have in common. The more data they can collect, they more likely they can reproduce it in house and hopefully help fix the crashes for the users affected.
You have to consider this, if it was crashing on an XB1 or PS4 they have that exact hardware to diagnose, however going by the specs required to play The Division 2 there are likely billions of hardware/software configurations they cant even begin to test for without the information you asked them to not request.
If all you want is a refund then pursue that and explain why, however if that is your only goal then we dont need to see your complaint. We can all likely agree this patch has majorly affected the game and our desire to play it. your letter should have been better focused on your end goal and why you think it is a fair choice for them to make.
When battlefield 5 came out there was some who wanted a easier mode I think it was and they changed the game to cater to the people who wanted the change. This made a load of players unhappy so what they did was to revert the game back to what it was on release AND put out a game mode to make game play better for those who found it hard. THEY GAVE THE PLAYERS A CHOICE. play the normal mode or the easier mode. That’s all the players who liked n wants the old mods back. The choice to be able to choose n not be told NO. U will have what we say and not what we paid for like before the patch
