So, I would I approach this game without dying.

    Hi folks,

Been playing games for quite a while, all types of games for the last 20 years. In all my games I always had the same problem, it probably comes from some kind of minor OCD that I have, but if my character gets killed, I find him weak and I am disgusted in playing him, resulting in more often than not me deleting him.

I would I approach the division 2 to build a character where I could easily run through content without dying ? There are always in those game a combination of skills that makes you super powerful, just want to check with vets of the game which one they are.

Currently I am up to 5 or so toon deleted because I keep dying to the second story mission where two heavies come out at the same time.

There is certainly something I do not see because it is a level 4 mission so it should consequently be very easy.

    Any tips are welcome

You're going to die. It happens. It's designed to happen. You can't survive every encounter every time. Even if there was some super powerful spec; a random glitch, bad spawn, bad timing or bad luck will kill you.

So the design is to make you fail ? Weird, I'll try to get accustomed to it, thanks for the answer though It's really that I lose all interest in my toons once they died once, they are not heroes, they are fodder.

On my second toon I've made it to level 6 without dying including my first bounty . But I had the learning curve of my first toon to show me the way.

But I fully expect to die, and die a lot. This game is soloable, but it is challenging.

First time around you'll die lots. Second time around chances are you've learned a lot and won't die nearly as often. As you level you'll figure out how to beat those enemies. I don't even blink when I come accross them now; I know what to do and how to defeat them.

Things like damage to elites tends to be effective. Cover and retreat, as the big NPC's can't move fast, unless you get too close then they will sprint towards you. Don't forget your grenades as well. Hope that helps.

It's not designed to be easy. Which means it will kill you from time to time, even if you're at the top of your game.

Try to embrace it. Have a laugh, and come back determined to get revenge.

I am level 4 and I tried the mission where I have to stop the Hyenas taking the library back. I was fine until I had to actually stop the Hyenas taking the Library back. I killed a purple and a yellow enemy then BANG! dead by a red enemy....WTF is that about? I checked my in game map and there was no enemy to be seen, checked flanking routes and still nothing. Next thing... I am dead. Basically I'd learn to die and take it as the norm. This game imo is a level notch up from the division 1. My dude feels weak as hell. I only have 3000 armor being I am level 4 but my armor gets annihilated with in 2 seconds if I am out of cover. I am using green sets and just putting together whatever ups my armor ( I have no complete sets)

Don't be afraid to run, they will either chase you so you can funnel them into a choke point or stop giving you breathing space mainly in missions.

Out in open world yeah you'll die but it makes no difference.

Use the Hive might not revive for a 60% chance it will get you back on your feet.

If you really want to play the game without dying, then my suggestion is to level up first.

You level up by experience, and you can get experience from other things than the missions. Just walking on the street and killing enemies and finding loot will already do that. Getting a safehouse, and that kind of stuff will work too.

Once your level is high enough, the good stuff such as better armor and better weapons will come too. Keep in mind that the enemies become stronger too, but there are weapons to find that will definitely give you the upper hand. I had a level 3 MK17 that was my main weapon for quite a while until I got a level 10 MK17 which I still use.

Keep in mind that in the early levels, because your armor is thin, you die quickly. Your playstyle will determine how quickly you die. If you walk towards enemies and they have not spotted you, you can turn around. If you do that, then from afar look at the situation and look for possible problems, you can find a good hiding spot to take cover and attack the enemies from a distance. Keep in mind the symbol they have. Enemies with a lighting bolt will charge towards you. Especially in the early levels there will be more of those. For taking cover at a distance, these enemies will be the most dangarous, so taking them out first will help your survival.

Once you beat the first mission, you can get a support power. I recommend going for the turret first. You can deply the turret on the ground and the enemy will shoot both you and the turret, giving you lots of time to get out of stinky situations before you die.

Also, don't forget to heal your armor. It is easier to replenish your armor after a fight than to die.

I'm now level 16, and I'm now strong enough to withstand most enemies in many confrontations. In the past I always had to find cover on the street, now the fight usually ends before I need to find cover at all, sometimes I won't even have been hit. (sniper with headshots for the win)

So yeah... The game is actually harder in the lower levels. You can team up with someone to level up quicker too, but you may die quicker too. Except that with a teammate, they can revive you.
