Either way, we will be using RAR. We did tests early on that proved it compresses more efficiently than ZIP. I don't know the details (that's what underlings are for), but if we were to separate the file, it would be in a way that would require you to download all of the parts in order to be able to view the whole thing. You can actually upload various files at once into Media Player and watch them back to back fairly seamlessly, but that's not the route we'd go.
Sorry guys, he is showing his ignorance of WinRAR here.but if we were to separate the file, it would be in a way that would require you to download all of the parts in order to be able to view the whole thing.
Of course its a one click pony to create separate 100mB files that must all be downloaded individually before WinRAR will allow you to UNRAR them.
And when you do UNRAR them (by simply clicking on Part1) you end up with one single AVI file. If you dont have all the parts, it wont UNRAR, it says you must have the other parts.
Either way its simple, its a one click for the making and one click for the UNRAR'ing.
We did discuss this and I think its the best option.
Dho...
My point is that using WinRAR its impossible NOT to do this, and as he is stating the obvious in a "Im not sure you can do this sense". He is obviously not fully aware of its capabilities.
Any further questions for this witness.
No...
Well good. Because things break you know, like guns and tanks and your application to have your music included in this film.

Well you can, if you want to render the film as 6 seperate renders and then RAR them, but methinks your just being an *******, technically speakingWell, technically, you could split the movie into 6 sections and Rar them all. Then you'd have six seperate parts that could be un'rared separately
Tadaaa!!!
Err, cut MrVH music from scene 1 and 5. Yes I am serious, your a pleb, do your job and tell him, GL2 wont care, he gets what I give him. I'm the boss of this department and its his arse on the line at the end of the day. As long as I get my paycheck its barcelona halloaa for me.
Thought about it: once started I'd like to just sit and watch, not be concerned about firing up a second file. One-file-one-movie way to go I think.
Have downloaded don't know how many Linux distros: what else is DSL for? Start the d/l, walk away and hope it finishes when it can without getting hosed.
Thats my two cents.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

What no DVD's to buy?
Seriously, I'm looking forward to this. You folks have put a lot of effort and time into it.
Either way you upload it for d/l purposes is fine with me. I did vote smaller file sizes.
I assume it's going to be a bit slower of a D/L at release because of busy servers.
Again. Looking forward to this.... AND THANKS!!!!!!
