Well first let me start off by saying I love skill builds. The division 1 had good builds you could be effective as a Damage build a Tank build or a skill build. After the recent patch on the division 2 the skill build went right out the window. The builds are weak and ineffective. Example I had chem launcher with a 148% plus radius and 30% cool down it made it an effective weapon even though damage on skills is low it covered a large enough area to be effective against PVP or PVE. After patch it was like 22% radius and 7% cool down. I mean Really 22% Radius on 3 meters i got a whole foot wow thats effective. The chem launcher went from an effective weapon to just an armor healer. No use using it for anything else, hit an enemy he takes two steps to the right hes clear and takes to long to cool down to make it effective anymore. An its not alone shield , drone , firefly, seeker mine all useless. They no longer possess enough Damage , speed or versatility to be anything but distractions. I mean the shield gets disintegrated in like 3 seconds screw the division tech I want one of those HYena shields that can take some Damage. I was already not impressed with the flame turret directional crap making it far less useful except hall ways or doors. Plus Skills already had a handicap unlike Damage build or Defense builds which only have 3 stats really. The Damage build DPS, Crit hit and Crit DMG, the Defense Build Health, Armor and Regen Armor. But Skill builds gave no such easy setup, first you had to build up skill power by stripping your build of Damage and Defense then you had to find high end skill gear to attach to the skill. So you had to go loot shopping for alot more then the other two builds which would be fine if it were worth it. Before patch it was borderline after patch NOT WORTH IT. The skills are clunky, slow for any combat situation they even immobilize you while trying to use them in case of the flame turret. They weakened them to a point as if they were trying to remove skills as a playable style. No longer can you aid other players as the skills seem to be more YOU centered not team centered like the division 1. A good healer build in the first division was a great way to help your team win, now. The only thing that helps your team is if you can get to them to revive them because the revive skill only works so so when you can get it to work and oh God the cool down time on that thing. Its clear that while they expanded the skills sets they had no intention on skill build or cooperative team play like the division one being a thing in division 2. After the patch I deleted every piece of skill gear I had and avoid skills power like a plague now it wastes a slot where I could use something effective like Damage or Defense. Who ever is in charge of the Division 2 is clearly a PVP shooter who doesn't want those skills getting in there way. It makes the division 2 a shadow of the Division 1. As soon as I get to gear score 500 on Div 2 I will be returning to Div 1 and hope in time they fix the Super Nerf they did to Div 2 skills. Its a shame beautiful game they just destroyed the only really unique thing about the division, hell might as well be advertised as Call of Duty Light even they have better skills the Div 2.
