So we farm for the perfect rolls on weapons and gear sets. It’s not unreasonable to require players to invest time into doing this; it is a looter shooter after all. It seems that all of the work, however, that goes into getting the perfect weapon rolls, armor sets, and talent configurations (etc.) for your build (or 5 ffs) are null and void each time they release a new world tier?!
I’m not sure what the timeline is on the release of word tiers, but if we have to restart the grind for our preferred gear for builds every 3-4 months, that’s gonna be a major buzz kill.
Destiny has a similar gear problem with “Light Level” that ended up driving most of the player base away, but at least you could infuse your gear over there and not completely toss your gear pieces after grinding endlessly for that perfect roll.
Is anyone aware of a similar infusion mechanic in this game that would allow one to bring that white unicorn gear piece up to a higher gear level? If not...I’m afraid this game has lost most of its appeal for me.
If you look on the first page of this forum, there are several other posts addressing the same issue. I have played many MMO’s, as looters are my preferred genre.Originally Posted by As1r0nimo Go to original post
Waaayyy to much entitlement by posters of most all games these days. They want everything tailored to their own personal concept of a perfect world.
Advice, play the game the way it was made and use what you are given to accomplish this goal. If you can find a work around for a little bug or glitch then do so.
This statement can apply to more than half the Threads Created in these forums and almost all forums for all games.
I am simply amazed by it. Amazed.
Just want to clarify that you are asserting my opinion is entitled? I won’t criticize your perspective. I would like to say that investing hundreds (or thousands) of hours into a game just to have the developers change something on a whim seems disrespectful to the consumer.Originally Posted by Agent..Stark Go to original post
I haven’t invested hundreds of hours into his game yet, like some. I have a full time job and a family, so my play time is limited. But these type of decisions from devs of recent games (this one, Destiny, Anthem, etc) seem to be catering to people who want to play the game and stream it for their full time job.
IN Every MMO with each update you will need NEW gear with NEW stats. That's the way how it works. WoW, Diablo, LA2, Destiny.Originally Posted by CHIEF_CROSSBOW Go to original post
So now you ask to stay in one build for what, 2 years of the game lifecycle? Realy?

It's their game. They are making things, players are making builds. There will always be something cool and something not cool.Originally Posted by CHIEF_CROSSBOW Go to original post
So be prepared, that every major update or great balancing your current build can be destroyed. You adapt to it and play the game from the other perspective.
You can agree with it and play, or delete the game. The longer there is no update to meta or builds - the death of the game is closer.
Well most of us had actual knowledge and waited with min maxing our tier 4 gear and such because we knew it would arrive i had a good build for sharpshooter before tier 5 and i accepted that it would be going bye bye once tier 5 hit it was at 466 with soe recalibrations that i also knew were not a good idea but i wanted to not be that unprepared guy in a run, and i have played the first division game so i also knew what was coming.
