Since today's update, remapped 'use' keys on PC have become the same key used to 'mod' an item in the inventory. This is a problem for anyone with E (or presumably Q) mapped as their 'use' key, as in pressing the key to attempt to mod an item, the UI moves to the next panel - i.e. 'Resources' for Q or 'Apparel' for E.
My proposed solution would be the ability to remap the default E and Q behavior in inventory (switching panels/panning) to other keys.
On a related note, the 'mod' button in the weapons inventory seems to have a messed up clicking hitbox. it only highlights and becomes clickable on the far right side, a few pixels to the left of the end of the 'd' in 'mod'. This issue is not present in any of the other inventory screens (all types of armor, sidearm, skills).
My monitor is 2560x1440, and I am playing the game in DX11 windowed mode at 2560x1421 (not sure if that's relevant, but just in case).
It's not just Q and E... it was a bunch of other keys as well that still retained their default binding when in the menu. I rebind F to move right for me, and before patch, it was annoying as hell when it would move right and mod my weapon... at least they fixed F for me... E is still broken for me... (which is move up/forwad and in menu, it will go up on the map, then switch tabs for me... annoying as hell... but now you guys feel my pain... lol
Agreed, this is just a total mess. Devs, you need to understand that people who had issues before were typically people who just don't wasd. I use esdf and literally could not play the game this way because of the stupid F key nonsense and the e and q tabs. I had to force myself to wasd (far as i'm concerned, wasd is the flat-earth of controls) which is the only time I've ever had to do this in a game that lets you keybind at all. Finally settled into using this godforsaken wasd and x for interact, and now I have to switch from that because now x is shared with options and modding. You didn't fix anything, just broke it in a different way.
Tried to go back to esdf now, figuring you fixed the F key....no, because then the q and e keys are still broken as they've been all along if you don't wasd. Seriously, let us remap menu tab keys and some menu navigation keys. Not hard to do. All you did was make the original problem even worse by not allowing this while shifting one function to something else that causes even more conflicts.
I found a fix for me: see my thread here: https://forums.ubi.com/showthread.ph...7#post14125347
And... Done!
