That is no glitch. The caches are empty if you open them before 24 hours have passed. Funny thing if you are in a group and aomeone else opened it and you didn't notice it still counts against your timer, because technically you looted it since loot dropped for you and you hadn't seen.Originally Posted by jedc750 Go to original post
I heard about this glitch. When I crafted my first exotic which was chatterbox I was already tier 5 so it crafted 490. Looking at the blueprints for upgrade it does look like it would add damage. But I also heard people lose as much as 2k damage. Can anyone confirm with screenshots?Originally Posted by Ihateyouuplay. Go to original post
Well of the exotics I have used they seem more useful for their holstered talents than their actual usable talents. With the exception of the chatterbox which is pretty good compared to other smgs.Originally Posted by Ubi-RealDude Go to original post
I mean the shotgun gives a melee damage perk, pretty useless in a shooter even in pvp. The Liberty is ok i guess as a sidearm but it is a sidearm. Typically people are using primary weapons. The rifle i have never used but i would imagine it would be decent. The new lmg seems way underpowered because like the oxidizer noone is going to sit in that cloud, making the perk useless.
They aren't powerful enough for the grind. I literally have had 5 Acosta bags drop and very few exotics. If and when they do drop they are repeats usually. We should be able to upgrade our old exotics that we spent countless hours grinding for. I still can't bring myself to disassemble them since I worked so hard at them, being an average/mediocre PS4 player. The ones that are really good hardly drop and the 'ok to bad' ones drop often.
They feel rather weak to put it bluntly.Originally Posted by Ubi-RealDude Go to original post
Even if we counted their unique talents, they still feel weak compared to a regular high end weapon...mainly because regular high-ends can be recalibrated, plus they drop a lot, so you have more opportunities to farm them.
On the other hand, the exotics don't drop that much, they have random rolls and they can't be recalibrated...so farming for them can be quite time consuming.
For example, I think a lot of people are saying that the Chameleon is one of the weakest exotics.
It needs to be buffed to perform well and that's fine...but the problem is it's weaker than an regular high-end AR without the buff and finally becomes close to a high-end AR after the buff...
But in that case, why would people use the Chameleon when you can use a regular high-end AR that will work equally as well without the buff (and depending on the talent, it will end up doing a better job than the Exotic).
Now, even the Chameleon will do quite well if you totally create a build around raising AR damage...but we get to the same conclusion again.
Why would you want to take your time to create a build centered around buffing your Chamegelon damage when you can use a different AR that doesn't really need that build, and you have the freedom to come up with a more diverse gear build?
Personally the Chatterbox, Sweet Dreams and Lady Death are the better Exotics but they all have their drawbacks.
However, I do feel that Chatterbox was much stronger before WoNY.
It currently needs to be reloaded near a group of enemies to really deal damage but...close range has never really been a plus in Division since the enemy deals so much more damage than you.
Getting close to them is already a risk...and if you wanted to do more damage, Dark Winter is probably better and that not even an Exotic.
So I kind of wish it's reload range to activate its talennt was a little wider since 15 meters in this game is quite close.
The only reason I currently use the Chatterbox is not because it's strong, but because I like its low recoil and large magazine.
(Speed-wise, my Dark Winter manages to kill the enemies a lot faster.)
It's the same with Sweet Dreams.
I love it's one hit-kill talent and approaching an enemy is okay up to Challenging if you use a shield but trying to meelee an enemy in heroic and legendary takes guts.
And on top of that, it is a Shot Gun which raises the hurdle because you need to get near the enemy to do better damage.
Lady Death does great damage but its talent feels a bit circumstantial.
It does wonderful damage when its talent is charged but you don't run around the field that often in the midst of a fight and even if you keep moving around, it takes too much time to stack up the talent. And it's magazine is quite small, so you need to keep reloading quite a bit.
