you upgrade the chatterbox, by using components you get from dismantled exotics, and u need to buy the 500 gs upgrade schematic from a vendor, I got mine from the white house vendor.

in response to the man from Ubisoft asking about how the exotics perform. I love the chatterbox it's not really OP in pve but it can definitely save my life to a point it's pretty much unbeatable for my build. and I'm not focused into smg talents at all, just the talents on the gun help you kill that one illusive elite bastard advancing on you.

it's balanced, fun and worth the trek to get, merciless was terrible, the whole deal with holding down the fire button and stacking primers is a good idea but it's not particularly usefull at all. and is generally a pain in the arse. I didn't try to scale it's damage but of the two I used it was kinda pointless, I think it'd be better if it was automatic with a low fire rate, and primers cause status effects like burning and blind, and increased damage or different mechanics against targets with different status effects. although it'd probably be too op with the new set pieces like that.

    In response to Ubi.

I have the Liberty, Lullaby, Merciless and the Chatterbox. I would not use any of them as a main weapon. Nothing about them makes you go "wow, these are really amazing". I use the chatterbox as a secondary for the 10 second boost but that is about it. No need to have them locked to only "one" equipped at a time. No-one in their right mind would actually want to equip more.

I saw a video from Mtashed showing the new LMG exotic which was dropping in the DZ. Fair to say that out of them all, that is easily the worst. 4.4k damage on an LMG when you can get a M50 would up to 20k damage. Then if you shoot an enemy 20 times you get a buff where your exotic then does 400% damage. So, the selling point of this pathetic exotic is, if you shoot someone 20 times the weapon is then only slightly worse than every other box standard weapon in the game.

I am hesitant to ask (given how you took the fun out of the game in the patch), but could the exotics be reworked to make them "Exotic" and not "Pathetic". Please don't ask one-eye wonky Pete to do the balancing (who you must have asked for the patch).

i doubt it since the max a crafting table can produce is 490
    unless i'm missing something..

There two are blueprints in play here. The original crafting blueprint (what you loot from the final hyena box) will craft to 10 below your current WT/crafting bench. The UPGRADE blueprint will upgrade the currently held Chatterbox (or whatever exotic) to 500.

Crafted mine at level 4 and it crafted at 440. Got to tier 5 and wanted to upgrade gear score. Missing exotic component. I had a gift from Ubisoft the lullaby level 1 which I could not dismantle! I had to upgrade the lullaby and had to have sweet dreams to do it. So I upgrade lullaby and then dismantled it. Dismantling it gave me 2 exotic components, which then I upgraded chatterbox to GS500. All the exotics besides the chatter box and possibly merciless are good. Either way I have a 500GS. Sad part is people waiting to craft it till tier 5 will not have the top GS as it crafts at 490.

My character is currently lvl 471. Will the Chatterbox craft at 490 for me or at my current lvl? My crafting table has been upgraded to tier 5.

I have all the Chatterbox components + blueprint but was going to wait until my character hit lvl 490 before crafting. That is unless it will craft at 490 for me now.

They suck, and they always have. It’s only exotic in name, nothing else. You would assume it would be better but just like div 1, there’re not.

My experience is the drop rates are really low for me. No exotics have dropped. I’ve completed all PVE content on challenging, killed open world bosses, completed level 2 & 3 control points. Nearly 200 hours into the game and I’ve not had the opportunity to try the exotics which is pretty disappointing.

So I can’t comment how good or bad they are unfortunately.

On the upside, I do have all the parts of the Chatterbox & Liberty but they came from faction boxes. Can’t craft the Liberty though ax a D50 hasn’t dropped either.

Absolutely zero chance I waste any more time on the chatterbox. Massive just proved we don't even have stability when it comes to simple things like magazine sizes. Imagine me investing time in to a hidden powerful weapon. I wonder how that will end.
