Am I wrong in thinking it's absolutely pointless to upgrade gear after you get your 3rd perk unlocked?

I have multiple heroes at 165ish because I already have what I want, is there a point in maxing gear out under the new system?

No point really other than bragging rights. Refined gear is pointless. It really only helps to squeeze in some few extra point to achieve the perk set you want.

Yeah that's what I thought, does anyone know if it makes a difference in arcade mode? As far as damage reduction goes on the weekly's. If the warning about doing less damage isn't there then being 165 GS or 180 GS makes no difference right?

I felt like I was doing half the damage I should have been doing last time I tried it.

I thought it used to convert the cost of changing its astetic to salvage instead of silver, however thats not the case anymore (or was it never, maybe i'm just mad)
