So, I played the Division 1 and now DIvision 2. The game is really beautiful and there is a lot of content, which is great...but ...really...do you even have a QC testing team? I mean...is there anyone at Ubisoft that has played the game through? I'm on my second play through and i hit on average 8-10 bugs in a session (2 hours). some of them maybe half are annoying glitches. A few are just video anomalies, but there are I would say 2-4 hard core, game breaking bugs that I find in every single session. Things like missions that you can't complete at all because some character doesn't spawn. Enemies that don't spawn. and my now favorite ladder glitch, where I just get locked on a ladder and all controls are locked...so I have to quit the game (Ctrl+alt+del to task manager). I just have to say, to any Ubisoft employees reading this...it's pathetic. The game was expensive. you had an alpha and 2 betas, and the bugs are just everywhere. sad.
Main reason why I didn't buy the game yet, and never will pre order. Just waiting for few months until they have patched most of the issues, if they ever can because their track record isn't great. Besides the bug fixes there is also a good chance of having discount of 30-50% (or even more) which saves loads of money. At full price I would say it is to expensive, including the micro transactions and being a half-finished product. Yeah some say, you do get free content ... I say you get the remainder parts that should have been in the game in the first place.
I've been wondering the same thing. They have said they have lots of people who have tested the game and are good at it and have played more than anyone else.
And yet I ran the Potomac Event Center mission on challenging just a bit ago and it is abundantly clear that no one tested that. There wasn't a single enemy in the mission once you get inside who could climb down something without teleporting. Outside it was about 50/50 whether they teleported or not. Shooting through cover was also fairly abundant.
I ran the Viewpoint Mission on challenging earlier and on the part where you clear the room before protecting the laptop I had two or three enemies spawn two feet to my right in the hallway that you come into the room on. No doors, no stairs, just poof tech sniper-shotgun to the face. It is just stupid.
I just died trying to take a check point because I got stuck on a two inch curb and couldn't get off. I mean really? This problem was in Division 1 but is so much worse in this game.
Whenever I do open world stuff, enemies regularly get stuck in their spawn doors as well. Since I don't run the spec with incendiary grenades it just makes completion impossible too.
I really like this game in general, but it really starts falling apart once you get to WT4. I can work my way around it sure, but I shouldn't have to be fighting bugs as much as I'm fighting the cheaty AI.
