The best trick is, to interrupt him (favorably with a bash) during his heavy charge-up, before he reaches the unblockable status.
When he reaches the unblockable status, it becomes a pure 50/50 guessing game, since he can feint so late into hug even while half into the charged heavy strike.
It's a pretty unfair 50/50 similar to Warden's Bash, but it's literally every thing Fatty has. His kit is still so darn small.
Here... I will tell you a secret.. Walk backwards. Works for highlander too.
When he throws the heavy at you, dodge like normal. If he lets it fly, profit.
If not, unlock if you see him cancel into a hug ( He will drop his weapon to the side and ducks down ). You will roll, and he will miss if you unlock when you see this visual que.
Now you have all the time in the world to recover from your roll, saunter back and profit. Practice unlocking after you roll.
If he cancels into a guard break, you're at a safe distance ( You were walking backwards right? ), again profit.
IF THERE's 4 SHUGOs PREMADE.... Just bend over and hope they use lube...
And the same thing happens with the tracking on moves like Centurion's kick and Highlander's kick/grab by the way.
