So I have gathered the information that, being alone in silver this week, F2P Whales will get a week off and don't have to play.
Fair enough, it's not their fault.
What I have also gathered is, that unless there are 5 teams in silver, there will be no matchmaking. Does that mean for the next 2-3 weeks those teams won't have to play then since the bracket will not be full?
That is ludicrous. And I'm not blaming the teams here, understand that.
The time to wait for matchmaking will be hell too. Nobody thought about this.
Also, how will it continue if there's six teams in silver? One full bracket and one team alone not having to play?
Same with 11, 16, 21 teams etc.
Some transparency and clarification for the community would be VERY nice and appreciated here. Also anybody would appreciate you to come up with some solution because surely things are not going as planned. Thanks.
Yes please give us answers, I was thinking about this today. The team I am on should be silver in 2 weeks.
Are silver only going to be facing silver? If so how long is it going to take me to find an opponent, since not that many teams will be in silver?
People have lives outside of this game, my work week starts on Saturday, I don't have 2 hrs to find a tvt opponent.
As mentioned in the last post, I already asked this question TWO WHOLE MONTHS AGO:
https://forums.ubi.com/showthread.ph...g-of-team-wars
As such Ubi/RL have had these two full months to construct an answer to this question, so I am very insterested to read the long, well constructed, detailed answer that it has taken two months for them to consider.
It's also worth noting that software development is part of the IT industry, where it is always considered vastly superior to take a proactive, rather than a reactive, approach to problems. In posting the above question two months ago I gave them the required information to address this problem proactively, before it happened. Instead, upon reading the post closing the last thread, it reads as if they reactively dealt with the issue upon it happening. So why was the problem handled in this fashion, instead of proactively addressed when it was raised to you 2 months ago?
It was ignored on purpose, and I don't completely blame them, but I think it was a mistake. If they acknowledged this question in the past, they may have been forced to admit that this wasn’t something that had a solution within the already programmed Team Wars system. They probably thought it was better to cut that risk and settle with the idea that this is not a long-term problem, and that it was supposed to settle when more teams join the empty league.Originally Posted by lister_infiji Go to original post
I think they should just do interleague matchmaking between silver and bronze (if you want to be completely fair, matchmaking between silver and only users from the 100 runner up top teams of bronze or something alike that). They should’ve done that this week already, but I guess they thought, what’s the use?, they spent so much already the result is going to be the same anyways even if we put ghost teams in the silver league for them to fight. I don’t know if that was the thought process though but I agree that if teams are going to be delayed in their progress we should at least know what happens when a smaller pool of teams join an empty league. As someone already asked, does this mean restricted matchmaking within the smaller pool league? That’d be bothersome with the timing issues, just do the matchmaking between leagues or tell us what are your plans for this.
Yep kinda figured that - biting them in the bum now isn't it?Originally Posted by Void_Away- Go to original post
Firstly, there is absolutely zero excuse to ignore a legitimate question on a forum created by the people who have the answers, for customers to post such questions. Even just a stock answer of 'we don't have that information yet' or 'we cannot give out this information', although not ideal, is at least a response and a recognition of the time I spent crafting the question. If they don't want to answer questions then don't create a forum for that purpose, pretty simple.
Secondly, it appears they have not even considered this question themselves. Reading the closing post of the previous thread on this subject, it's worded in a way that suggests they reacted to a situation as it happened, and made a decision based on the fact it happened, rather than preparing for the eventuality. It means that their decision of how to handle the situation was a quick, reactionary decision, and they did not spend any time weighing it up - and now they've made that snap decision they will be forced to stand by it moving forward to prevent themselves looking stupid.
Personally I suspect they simply gambled that one team in a league would never happen and they'd never have to worry about the problem, which if that is the case can only be described as laziness. Either that or they never even considered the possibility, which then begs the question what is the point of a customer pointing this out and doing their brain work for them, when they can't even take the time to read it?
And I would suggest at the current rate of progress this will happen again for 2 weeks in gold, with just one team there alone.
