The helium isn't faster, this replay and record run was achieved wile doing a 150% extra speed contract. In normal speed the mantis is faster but that doesn't make this OK, the time should not have been recorded to the leaderboards during an extra speed contract. Would be pretty cool to see an in game track where everybody has to run at 150% speed, would be interesting to see the fastest runs for sure
Only time will tell if it's a bad thing for the game at this point I think.
It's ability to go up, down, sit stationary and then go back up again on vertical walls worries me for the future where it may become the only viable bike at high level.
Top players will take the best bike for the run and their skill will do the rest. Newer players may take the easiest bike to clear a track and not learn as much from the experience.
I don't know lol, I'm not a big fan of them trying to get an easy mode in Dark Souls too..this feels like a similar instant gratification over learning to overcome type thing. Just my opinion I know, not trying to rip on anyone for using it.
Is this for sure? The other day I sped through a track on a contract like that, beat my previous time, and it saved the new time.Originally Posted by Scottah Go to original post
it does make those tracks more like extreme tracks rather than Ninjas, but they'll just get hard stuck on Green belt then if they rely on using the Helium to pass them and can't with the Mantis. I think it's strange they allow the bike on the first 3, but then decided it wasn't on the others.Originally Posted by JoeRegular Go to original post
