the demand for a public instance pve area or "lightzone"

And i mean demand as in the economic term ie amount of people that want it , not the gun to the head gimme it now meaning

i Think there is a demand for a higher difficulty PVE area that is a public instance not the same solo experience we have in the rest of the world , i think its the public nature people who are asking for pve darkzone, are asking for, not the easy loot they are accused of.

its the stories that can dynamicaly happen as other agents wander into your fire fights or you walk in to pull of a clutch save etc. could even have d1 survial hunter types spawn on extractions!

Personally I'd be fine with better matchmaking options, but certainly not against a public PVE area.

You mean like a PvE DZ? They don't need a new area, they just need to finally bite the bullet and make the DZ PvE and just make it a little more difficult. Leave PvP where it belongs... as conflict mode. Make more maps for conflict and different encounter types and put this PvPvE to rest once and for all. Leave the occupied DZ as it is and let it rotate like it does now. Problem solved.

All the complaints about the DZ being empty is proof of what most people already knew since D1. If people do not NEED to be in the DZ for gear they will not go. They do not want to get constantly griefed and stolen from because they have no other option for end game. Now that they do, they don't. This idea that it is exciting and trying to entice people to go is a farce. People know what a gankfest it is.

As I said, if they want the DZ to be viable they need to make the current normalized zones PvE so people have an open area to co-op with random players in a more difficult arena (which would encourage assisting each other) and leave the one gankzone, I mean occupied DZ for the few people who still want to grief.

as a mainly PVE player i couldnt disagree more.

THe Dark Zone is a cluster**** and for good reason. Its intended to be. I think the concept is great and jump in now n then and have loads of fun. We have a huge map to play in, we dont NEED the dark zone to become a purely PVE area.

That said I think the open world while so much better than the original still needs more work. I love the whole checkpoint thing, but once you have all your blueprints that stop being as much fun. The open world just needs more varied activites, maybe more stuff that connects the player more to the people he is trying to save in the city.

My point is this. The DZ is not being used much. It is a waste of developer investment, and I explained why. I am trying to offer a solution to make it viable for everyone. There still IS a DZ. The occupied one rotates like it does now. People still have a DZ for that is the old rules which all the gankers seem to want back. Of course THAT will be empty too for the same reasons I stated previously. Gankers don't want to fight other gankers. They want sheep. No sheep... empty DZ. So... make the DZ useful and change it. For some reason someone that makes the decisions can't seem to figure out the PvPvE was a failure and make changes.

I don't really see it working out.
Content consumption would be a problem.
And despite people not wanting to admit it pve players can be just as toxic as any pvp players.
So you would have people stealing your loot and hogging the landmarks/supply drops and there would be nothing you could do about it.

As much as some don't like it you need the wolves to thin the flock sometimes.

It's a sad state of affairs when we have to go back to TD1 for decent PVP....................

IMO, the rewards for going into the DZ should be enticing enough for people to go in, but no so enticing that they feel they HAVE to do it. A good option for this would be for cosmetic rewards. Perhaps there are DZ only outfits... Perhaps all current weapons can have varied looks from the DZ. Or something along these lines ... because I know for me personally, I would do the DZ for those types of rewards. Knowing that I don't need to do them for power progression, but interesting enough that I'd be willing to do it when I'm bored. Now that I think about it, it's like treating the DZ like a cash shop ... Don't offer anything that gives an advantage, but cool enough to incentivize.

PVE Players That just want to farm loot or Landmarks The Friendly Fire Needs to be be a option for the player who are sick of getting griefed not be ganked by the cowards I mean Rogues are cowards that don’t have the Nuts to face a player head on a 4 man Group against one would rather run after they kill a payer from behind .HashTag Got no Nuts .
