The bullet sponge foes literally walk up to you, some time from the side or behind and stand there taking almost no damage and melt you in 1 or 2 shots. Plus the allies are dumb as a post and stand there do no damage and have flip flops and pea shooters. Don't give me that its your build crap either the builds work on the range and not on in gamenpc foes. The damage is backwards, we should be melting foes most of the time. 20 head shots with a rifle to down a purple is stupid. On levels with a mini gun the reds just stand there getting shot in the head with their health bar depleted STILL fighting. We don't need nerfs we need gear and ai puppets that works.
I haven't run into the mini gun issue with them still fighting but what I have had trouble with is putting a sniper round through their head but it seemingly gets lost in the vortex and blocked by the mini gun. I have to dance around their head a little to find the right spot.
When are you having to put 20 rounds for a rifle into a purple mob? I run a rifle/sniper setup and with a clip of 20 I can put down a purple in maybe 5-6 shots unless it's a hardened machine gun mob. That's a bit more complicated. I am spec'd out for DTE and headshot dmg so that helps. It is certainly more difficult than TD1 but manageable.
Its got top be some kind of glitch, as my build works well on the shooting range but against foes nope. Headshots with a sniper rifle with bonus dmg and head shot dmg do little to no damage. The Armour or health stats are completely useless too. what good is hp and armour when they run up to you stand there and take hits like a sponge and ko you in 1 or 2 hits? The game litterally tell you that you have the most advance weapons on earth and they don't do squat to drug dealers and rent a thugs.
The accuracy and hit registration on sniper rifles is pretty bad. I regularly hit people in the head but do no damage, as if it brushed the side of their head so didn't count for a headshot. If anything is moving I can't hit a thing with my sniper because the game can't seem to keep up with how fast the enemies are moving when they run. I use a model 700 I think (high accuracy, high stability, high range) and it still isn't great with the hit registration or accuracy.Originally Posted by KnightmonX Go to original post
I use a SRS and it works pretty well. I can hit enemies on the move but if I am moving forget about it (which makes sense). Maybe there is something with the M700. I live and die by the sniper. I had to learn the delay between the specialization rifle and full stability. If I was too quick on the trigger it was a wild shot even though I was trying to shoot quickly.
You can kill elite mobs in 2-3 sec. Check some youtube video. I don't know this bullet spongy thing. Bosses are of course need more bullets, but that's normal, isn't it? Perhaps 5-6 sec for harder type of mobs (LMG users or tougher ones for example). Around 10 for minibosses (like the chainsaw or minigun guy with lot of armors). And more secs for mission end bosses of course. Even is high skill power build (around 8k) you can kill elites in similar amound of time. But need aiming. Aiming to weak spots and head helps a lot.
