Got jumped by.. Something else in DZ | Forums

So I was trotting along in DZ East, and I passed by the safe room when I suddenly got flashed/disoriented and my character stumbled a bit, at first I thought I was getting jumped by Hunters, it kinda had the same vibe, but then a group of NPC's spawned out of nothing and a yellow bar Outcast looking dude with a yellow hood and a trash can lid for a shield rushed me, and right before I killed him they disappeared as quickly as they spawned

Thought I had seen most of what this game had to offer so far, but never seen this type of enemy before

Was this some kind of bug? Or have I missed something? Couldn't find any info on this

I can't speak for the DZ, but I have been noticing more bugs with enemies spawning out of thin air right in front of me in the LZ the past week.

Teleporting has been been bad this week for sure.

I know that some area in the DZ is booby trapped, such as a type of grenade stringed with a trip wire.
So maybe you ran into one of these?

Perhaps! Can't say i've noticed those in DZ.. But an Outcast hoodie with a trash can lid shield? Never seen that in-game before!
