The crashes happen as soon as I load the game, I see my cpu max out to 100% then the game crashes with only a black screen shown. Sometimes it doesn't even show the crash report and I have to use task manager to end the task. I've already provided the files in my case, and the recommendations from 5 different ubisoft support people haven't helped any.
Hey, Ubisoft well crashing isn't the case for mine, but instead it became stuttering in terms of when I am exploring in the open world. It didn't happen two days ago but since yesterday it became that way. The fps from 60 would have drops to as low as 8 and continue to stutter till I press esc and log out (in stuttering mode). Also same for the long start up. Not sure how to make it into a report as there isn't an option to make report on this.
I also tried the benchmark and it is working fine.
I'm so tired of every hour of play crashing five times.
I'm tired of them not looking for an official solution.
I'm tired of being told silly solutions.
I'm tired of being teased.
I'm tired of waiting for a solution and not being able to play.
I'm tired of reading nonsense.
I bought a game that I can't play. Since you don't want and won't pay me back, please fix the game. I FEEL SWINDLED.
I tell you one thing, you have cheated me this time with this product BUT NEVER IN MY LIFE BUY A UBISOFT GAME AGAIN.
Here the only ones harmed are you since you are going to sell less games now and in the future.
The first time in my life that I complain about a game and I can not play and I have this error ... I have more than 20 years playing games and I have never complained.
I'm sorry for my English I'm using a translator.
Zero problems in over a 100hrs played before the patch. Now my record is 18 minutes before it crashes. Will start to stutter, the sound starts to stutter, then screen flashes to windowed mode then crash.
Nvidia GTX 1080 TI
Core i7
128GB RAM
CORSAIR MP510 1920GB NVMe.
I've reinstalled all drivers. Disabled overlay, enabled overlay etc etc....and still cant make it 20 minutes without crashing to desktop.
Grrrrrrrr.
Same problem... frequent crashes to desktop at random times, including while in menus.
The frequency of crashes which had improved for me leading up to patch 1.7 went through the roof after the patch.
Also way more stuttering and momentary freezes occurring since the patch.

you need this?
No crashes here Ubi-Raziel but I can see exactly when the other agents would crash when the game stutters, surely the team at Massive have found the code that is causing the micro stutter and found a way to buffer it with windows??Originally Posted by Ubi-Raziel Go to original post
or have they and it's not possible to fix as it would have an adverse affect as the last patch did?
I'm keen to see how this new patch goes so bring it on! (and please have a backup patch on the ready if it's disastrous)
This is a troubleshooting nightmare of epic proportions. Honestly its so random, never in the same place and for me it has no log file anywhere as to whats going on. I can play 6 hours or I can play 6 minutes its like its deciding if it feels up to letting me play.
Like alot of others it freezes briefly goes from full screen to windowed mode and crashes to desktop with no hint of an explanation. After doing so many things, I'm really thinking its Uplay and not just the overlay hooked into the game. I've been able to play for long periods with it on and have crashed with it off before. I really love the game, but man this sucks.
As for UPlay I dug up this in the game_starter_log.txt file, its located in Uplay Game Launcher/logs folder. I only have The Division downloaded so I know it corresponds to it. It only contains this error message -
[ 8568] 2019-04-02 06:43:44 [ 1768] ERROR GameProcessWatcher.cpp (210) Child process abnormal exit: 1364
Wonder if anyone else can check to see if they have t he same error. I did some basic digging and people have complained about this same error popping up in other recent uplay games. But I don't have much else. I'll pray we can all play in harmony soon cause the game is terrific.
